This really needs to be on the feedback board!

I will always support donkeys! They deserve so much more! Cmon PA, stop with the "Horses Only" stuff and make all smaller and cute mounts actually relevant and fun as well. Don't be afraid to bring more fun to your own game. 

You've heard of the donkuanatt but what about the T9 fwuzzy wuzzy alpaca? Imagine if we could get that? Faster travel through the taundra whenever that releases. :D It would basically be dine but for the winter "desert". Would love that.

When the Eternal Winter trailer rolled in, so did the alpaca with this, so initially thats what they probably had in mind, or at least me, as a viewier. That alpaca will be shai exclusive mount with no penalties in the region of the Everfrost BUT....sadly ended up being just a 1 month mascot/pet to sell cutness and then throw away to box called "abandonment". First they would need to upgrade it to an actual usable mount because donkey at today's state looks like T10 next to Alpaca. Second problem is that again, the trailer and hype seemed like the region of Eternal Winter will be much bigger so the mount would make sense to traverse it faster but its just...barely a region.

For now i will be happy enough if they give us any answer about buffing donkeys a bit, making them breedable, lvl 30 mounts with possibility of Dream Donkey. Letting shai ride horse was the laziest alternative i have ever seen.

Beside that, i would like bigger variety of mounts that we alrdy seen NPCs on. Ferricas and Yaks in Duvencrune, from which Yaks would be a human player alternative of Eternal Winter mount but as said above this won't happen, because region itself is not what is was suppose to be from the very start....and here sadly is where all cool ideas ended, along with alpaca hype. It got forgotten as fast as the sales on the pet one passed. Got some profit from cutness, time to make more useless cute things becase $$$. Sad.

But i will still hope for the donkey's justice! ヾ ^_^

Dunno if it's laziness, too tight a delivery schedule or just ineptitude, tbh. I mean, based on how the distance between two points in 3D space is calculated, I'd say the latter, but based on other things that were good before but got bad now, it might be the formers.

Back on topic: First, they'd need to acknowledge that the other beasts we have in our stables are also mounts, not just toys, as they seem to be, with their lvl 15 and perma-ban on traveling through the well. Then... Anything related to mounts would need to be first relegated to the activities involving them, not to the pearl shop and the big, bad Rngesus, as they are now. 

They were considering the yaks as mounts soon after the Bronze Age ended I think. Or it may have been while the pyramids were getting build. In a way, we should be happy they didn't deliver them, cus no one would want, nor care about an oversized alpaca with their max speed of probably 77.7% and their main skills being "Chew Grass" and "Take a Dump".

Along with the LoD issue and the sea content, this has to be one of the topics that would very much deserve to be on the AFB as far as PvE goes (PvP being in an even worse state, apparently), yet... Uhmm... Also, really now, what are the requirements for any topic being AFB worthy? The amount of clicks solving the solution takes (like the seasonal crop)? 'cause what players want and what PA seems to be working on are on different branches of the multiverse most of the time... </rant>

You can remove the quotes from desert. It is a desert. With plastic trees, no tourist attractions and - if you get carried with drops or get your PO for the Flame on the CM  - barely any reason to visit. Yes, I'm sour as an lemon over the overhyped and underdelivered region my main hails frome.

Also, the alpaca is a bad joke in terms of utility and perspectives - probably a side project for a few devs that still care about the game, but that's about it. I don't think it's a mount though. Can it travel through the well? or it too, like the donkey and the elephant, is too fat to fit?

Honestly the mount system has so much untapped potential. I know people will counter-argue having different kinds of mounts by saying that they would be useless so nobody would use them, but we're vastly underestimating the lengths players will go to for cosmetics. Having the ability to breed lots of different mounts for different colors/coats, heck let us smash the DNA of random monsters into our mounts to get weird mutations like gills or something, anything seems to be allowed within the boundaries of this world's crazy alchemy system. Then they can slap a billion RNG coupons into the pearl shop for it, whatever floats their boat, but there needs to be a reason to engage in the taming/breeding.

Everyone forgot about tier 1-8 horse breeding as soon as the dream horses came out because... of course they did, the dream horses are objectively better and cooler looking in every way. Make the system less linear with more cosmetic options at the higher tiers and people will care a lot more.

Agreed. I'm currently going through a lenght of afk fishing and doing dailies at Papua for my Krogdalo donkey gear (which will probably take me some 2 more months to finish, considering i do lot of other activities aside - but hey i don't care, i want it!), not because of 10% life skill buff but because i enjoy having it so much and want the best gear for it. Hell i even bought my donkey a sweater so i don't feel bad when it waits for my shai finishing her grind at Winter Fossils :D Its that little roleplaying part that some us have in player base, that feeling we know its not the most efficient but it makes the character i made more immersed to my design or feeling. 

I was even thinking if donkey is still considered half mount/half trading one of sort, if they ever re-vamp or improve trading i dream of little wagoon pulled by 2 donkeys for shai :) because why the heck not. Focusing and actually seeing the donkeys on the PA's improvement list will be already great step towards those little like unrealistic ideas but considering a woman summoning a localized storm by waving a fan isn't immersion breaking so is the dream donkey totally normal for me in BDO world. ^x^

For sure, it's not always about practicality but immersion and what makes you happiest. I think PA is very focused on adding more combat related things and that's what people wants for some reason. Not really, I mean the combat is fine but most people like variety especially for long-term retention of players.

Donkey, Camel, Alpaca and Elephant breeding? Again, opens up a whole new territory outside of T9 and T10 attempts. Could even make T9 Alpaca, Donkey, Camel, etc... Balance the entire mount system to give purpose to everything. :O Even the birds from grana could be neat. No need to eat into profits, make even more profit by expanding existing systems! :D

Yes, there are sooo many systems partially developed that could be developed for more gameplay time, give players something more to do than just fight all the time. Housing is untapped potential, trading is untapped potential, sailing is untapped potential, bartering could be so much more, horse racing could be far better and interesting very easily, workers is untapped and could be exciting, ice fishing still doesn't exist.... sooooo many things.

There's so much untapped potential and it can start with breeding more than just horses and giving them purpose. Could you imagine how much more fun this game would be if they just worked with what they had already instead of releasing new classes?
