You can do it, just get a lvl 49 character for that purpose ! ;)

Except that BDO made its success with the presence of this owpvp with rules, and being a game with pve elements and optional pvp is not part of BDO initial DNA.

That's why I'm saying BDO is trying to cater to an audience which may not totally adhere to its concept, and is known to be ungrateful. To fully cater to this audience, BDO would need many more changes than the small steps we're currently seeing, and for a unknown result ; and it would probably lose a part of its loyal audience in the process.

If we check the pve aspect alone, there's one conclusion : it is repetitive, and the "endless clearing speed contest" is not necessarily what mainstream players are looking for.

I don't get why PA didn't keep these ideas for Crimson Desert, with BDO assets, their experience and a game fully developed for pve with multi-player and occasional pvp, such a game could really have been a blast and a serious contestant.

BDO is just as successful now, or maybe even a bit more so, than it was at launch. None of their MANY changes have negatively impacted their popularity at all, despite the game basically being unrecognizable from what it once was.

Also, I'm not sure you're aware, but there is a HUGE amount of PvE content in the game aside from grinding. Just because PA has a hard on for grinding and keeps buffing it's profitability, it doesn't change the fact that BDO has one of, if not THE best life skilling systems out of any MMO, with FF14 roughly on par. There are MANY players who play BDO (and FF14) purely for the life-skilling aspect, and never grind or PvP at all. THOSE are the players that want a PvE only server, not the people grinding all day long. That's why I said you could nerf grinding on PvE only servers and it would still work, because the people that want it are the people that want to farm and fish and craft without worrying about somebody coming along and interrupting them while they're alt-tabbed or afk.

As for Crimson Desert, it's a single-player game. I'm not sure why you associate "online" with "pvp", but a most people enjoy being social while doing PvE content.

Because it is ineffective?

Horses.

Training horses on the long straight is twice as fast as in the city. Also, strange stops occur in the city during horse training. So you are full buffed, start afk horse training and 3 minutes later you are stop. 5 hours later it turns out that you have been standing still for 5 hours.

Fishes.

Not all fish can be caught in the safe zone. Also, fishery in safe zones are mostly red, so fishing in them lasts about 5 times as long.

You dont need safe zone for horses... just go to Elvia realm. (No Serendia and Calpheon) No mobs, no problems.
I have been training horses like this for a few years in an endless circles (per. sprint) in Mediah.

imagine PA has to be not allow killing players under level 50 for no reason
if you are afraid of dying in online game, stop playing it, don't ask the game to change just to serve you, or you spend money to buy the game and change it to your liking, then play it alone

Why do people who are against PVE servers fight so hard to keep their precious owpvp? Wouldn't a PVE server mean you had less competition for your grind spots? So why are you trying so hard to tie people down who clearly don't want to play with you?
Just curious.

Yeah, people opposing having a single PvE server have a full mouth of "solutions" they would never apply to themselves. It is the same as saying lifeskillers can go cry in the corner, whatever - they are just trying to mask that this is their view. Lifeskilling is already the underdog in the game and dear OwPvP people and grinders fiercely oppose throwing them a bone at least.

"Solutions" that were mentioned here instead of having a PvE server are detrimental to the player using it and people suggesting them obviously do not know what are the real impacts of using these "solutions", since they simply do not give a f about lifeskillers or lifeskilling. Oblivious to the fact that lifekillers also support "their" game and they DO NOT WANT TO PLAY WITH THEM and get griefed, okay?

Like a kid on the playground who forces everyone to do exactly as they say until there is no one to play with, really. Grow up, bros!

The problem is the game itself. BDO was created in mind to make conflict. Less populated spots so if there are more people grinding in same area they either lose loot or have to fight for spot. Devs themselvs said that this was their idea. BDO have a lot of spots but most people want to go to the "best" spot. So here is the conflict. When they made Seasons, there were only PvE  servers. And instead of less competiotion it was nightmare. Too many people for too few mobs. But the game changed, devs find two great solution that could work - first and better - harder mobs to kill like elvia so few people could be bussy on spots without desruptings each others. That could work probably, but It could needed to change some classes. Other is Marni, the one that could work perfect if its non stop and on every zone. But marni killed MMO part of the game. But BDO is not the game it was anymore. So the question is why devs dont do it right?

Please, list to the start of the thread, page 1, message 1.

This is not about grinding, not everything is about grinding and minmaxing the shit out of the game.
