Please stop pushing people into afk activities and promoting afk gameplay. Reward the players who do stuff or try to do it.

Do you have programs running in the background earning you money while game is on or what?

The last event: Under the Shad of Maples Leaves is the perfect example.
nice fishing event tbh, but why forcing people to fish in zones where you have to wait several minutes between each fish? it's litterally forcing people into afk.
Why not like in some other events be able to catch stuff in other cities, rivers, even ocean? This way, we can fish actively, get the reward and be done. Or fish more if we want more. Here, i will have to let the game run for days (this night, for 10h fishing in velia, got 20 flowers only, with +10 rod and accessory, 5luck, 5fish, 10k eco, 1500mastery G15 fisher, fishing pets and fishing meal).

So i'll just stop playing during this event to get the rewards i want. not playing to get rewards, weird, isn't it?

- even halloween event: make dailies, more isabellas and innocence. i loved the coupons for played time, but again, you get them afk.
- horse events as only way to train horse is through afk. Why not having some sor of minigame or something like farming: put your horse in there, get some special worker and have them gain xp while you play.


The game is meant to be played, not afk. Same goes for fun instead of silver per hour or trash zone.
i mean, give the possibility to afk if you want, i don't mind, but reward the ones who play.
It's same problem with market: everything is so cheap and easy that people do not bother crafting or enhancing.
Doing same stuff over and over and not progressing at all while others get lucky and are done very fast (examples with anything rng: gear, T9, T10, treasures, etc). is it normal that a T9 is 12bil max but some trainers need 30plus tries to get one? (after 30tries, you are paying more than market price supposing you use crons from buying whale outfits) You should have a chance to pay more, but trying should give better results than buying. Mastery or training level has no effect on it. Only need luck. 0 skill!
All lifeskills and even combat now with the dummies are AFK. Promote people who play actively instead! How? it's easy!
- increase xp (now 62 is super easy as it's barely 20h in season (that's nice!), 63 takes some work but still easy, and 64 is low base for a casual grinder as i'm soon there and i almost never grind except when i need something out of it. 65 and 66 are impressive for me but i see plenty. And even saw 2 67!)
- increase silver for non afk activities.
- make fun stuff to do and give it some silver. i have fun decorating my houses. i have fun staring at halloween decors and being amazed or polaying the red/green light game (innocence12 has a funny mechaninc too). i like hearing shais play music. i'm doing active stuff in the game and making no silver. Even when i grind the sea, i don't even make half of what i make on land.


Let me give you some examples with all lifeskills (i'm guru in all of them except training and sailing were i'm barely master and trading because it's stupidly broken):
just so you can judge and see that i know what i'm talking about:

- Gathering G1 can only be done actively. good! (but there are many flaws like the energy, i don't mind, i gather with all my family when needed and share the gear. For the manor, i sent 10 600 energy characters for stones.)
- Fishing G15: afk because hotspot fishing is not really profitable. And barely enjoyable. The only time i have fun is trying to catch a fish i never got before. Maybe increase the price of fish when minigame is played instead of afk auto catch. Solution? i would love trophies for housing. Catch a fish, transform it into something you can remember.
- Hunting G1: no one ever hunts in balenos islands. Everyone at featherwolves or narcion. The rare monsters were nice but it gets boring always have to swap server and have cooldowns to hunt more. No one hunts those by accident when seeing one. hunters look for them and will have to find ways to do it easily. Solution? Make party hunting more profitable and more fun to hunt solo too.

- cooking G1: powered through it to guru just for imperial cooking. it as so boring. Paid for weight, picked a house near the np, and now the weight is reduced :D feel a bit scammed.
Cooking does not interest me as you need too much space for the recipes and planning. Some players like it, i don't. I have not much to say here as it's not something i do unless i need it. Don't know how profitable it is as i won't really try it. But imperial was 150m profit for afk boxing and 2mins of delivery.

- same for alchemy G1 when lighstones were released. After wasting close to 15 bil for fortune stone without getting it, i decided to go guru. took me 2 weeks doing it 2h here and there. Revealed more for approx 7bil and same scam. Ended up buying 2 for 10bil in market. Only do alchemy to craft elix when i need them and none on market. Again, nothing interesting in going to gather some truffles and abuse server swaps or buying from market to craft. Solution? increase price if imp delivery boxes, make elix not sellable on market or at higher prices.
- transformation G1: only do it when need something. it's so painful to stare at your screen waiting for it to be ready :'( Solution? have none, mastery and mass processing already helped a lot.
- training M6: tried getting into horses at night instead of fishing. training is as painful as the mini game to catch horses. most of the time, you see your horse stopped by some loading or because it went out of path (peridot can't properly sprint). Solution? Something that can be done while playing, a bit like farming. Imagine if leveling horse skills gave horse xp too?
- Trading maybe Art1 at best don't even know: Don't do. Don't care.
- Farming, several M: plant for 5mins, then come back 3h later. i like this content but i would love a more active approach for those who like it and being able to cultivate flowers and not being limited to 10. it's not really profitable. i do it for the pet (let me dream, got 1 petal since release! 9 to go), the fruits or when something can't be bought. Solution? more slots, increase price of trash, faster growth (fastest is 2h) so we can circle our crops, give us flowers, etc
- Sailing, 5 M characters: sailing is #exploit2win, lack of content, lack of income, shittiest xp in the game, probably worst lifeskill in the game even if the sailing chat is maybe the most active one. Sailing margoria since 2017 for more than several k hours and will never be guru as i don't use heavy buffs. sadlife as it's the what i like doing the most: chilling at sea. Solution? lots of... here i can go for hours but let's make a short example: afk dummies in front of velia wharf, or simply increase xp when sailing margoria and killing monsters. how can daily quests that many do afk, give more xp than several hours of active sailing?
- bartering: afk land, no comment. Was popular when valencia was not that profitable and when gear was less powerful. Now as soon as you get season gear, you can make 500m/h with scrolls. you barely make that in a day of active bartering. Solution? suppress parley and resets. let barterers barter as much as they want.

Please :'(

Let me give you some examples with all lifeskills (i'm guru in all of them except training and sailing were i'm barely master and trading because it's stupidly broken):

Whether the player is actually active or not in front of his screen is irrelevant as long as the connection timer ticks.

That is the main problem, not all people want to grind... and your reaction is sadly the worst way of playing, only considering what is the most profitable silver per hour instead of what is fun to do. Get silver, buy stuff. Not play the game and get stuff.

Grinding monsters is a part of the game, not the core.

as you can see, i don't kill many monsters.

The more a PC bang owner can sell connection time with your game, the more he's incentivised to install it on his machines by default, making your potential propect number rise (so more customers in your cash shop).

This represents a HUGE number of players / customers in KR, so you want want your game to be the most accessible, installed on the most machines as possible.

That's also why there are special deals for players that plays from PC bangs (and why the F2P model has encountered a perfect environment in this kind of ecosystem)

Playing afk outside of your home.
But really good info.
Well, i can only regret that we are sub players and cannot adapt to get both: the afk stuff and active stuff.

Even the fishing event, if you fish actively, you will get twice as many items, even if you are capped for auto-fishing reduction.  More if you are actively fishing with triple-float rods instead of regular ones.

The question is: why denying active gameplay. Having a minigame for fishing every 2 minutes is not active fishing. Every 30secs is ok.
I was looking at a movie and fishing whenever was prompted to. Did not get more event stuff than during the hour it was full afk. no one in his right mind will use a tripple rod to catch mainly green fish because that's mainly what i got (not a single blue or yellow / only green or event stuff).


I'm not saying afk stuff pays more but that active players should be able to do it actively (if that event was avail anywhere with water, i would fish when taking breaks in margoria) and get more stuff from it, which is not the case.


I'm curious on how do you train horses actively and how do you make more money bartering actively than setting autopaths.
Activities where you make more money afk than actively, there are none, but a majority where you don't make more being active. You make the same as if you were not in front of screen.

only 2 make you more money as you cannot afk at all (gathering, hunting) and fishing for yellows or margoria (because who fishes actively mainland?)  :D
