I mean you can clearly see where I'm going just by looking at this picture here.

The exchange items can be beneficial to some fishing lifeskillers, such as Crio's chair, but the rest of the items are mundane.  There are plenty of other options to get them.  My real gripe with Discarded Glass Bottles is that they've literally taken over the fishing loot tables.  I've been trying to finish the new fishing quest and I've spent nearly half a day just trying to finish this single quest in the uploaded image.  The problem are these bottles, over exaggerating here a bit but about 90% of the time you will get these bottles instead of a yellow grade fish.  I feel like this is a nerf to fishing and find it excruciating to finish such fishing quest when it calls for this many yellow fish to be completed.

Please tone down the drop rate of this item.  

or can tackle the main problem of "event" items impacting the regular loot table of .. well everything. a permanent addition like this should've never been considered a part of the any already existing loot table, similar to all event items. 

WTF ? Silver key is in good demand( For gold key -/ Gathering Treasure chest) . And the only way to get them in a good number is fishing.

The glass bottles are in the trash group and yellow fish are in the fish group.  The glass bottles drop at similar rates as what the previously 5 separate items would drop, so there should be no change. 

If you are looking for a yellow fish, are you using a maple float and a Mediah rod?  That will help.

Calpheon Rod, Maple Float (they don't match, I know but whatever), still getting FAR more bottles then yellow fish. 90% of the all but 1 letter full boxes are bottles. Getting sick of it.

Perhaps a way to balance it out is to raise the reward of the broken glass bottle and lower the obtainable rate by equal amount. Math is a bit elusive in the world of RNG though, so it might not workout too well for some people in the end.

What I am concerned about is how many broken glass bottles there are at the shore where people especially children are out there swimming. Sounds like a terrible swimming experience.

So you are the one catching all my bottles! I have seen 3 in the last 24hrs of fishing, but other nights I walk away with 50+

Not sure i'd complain about easy ways to increase CP if you don't need/want the other things. I haven't seen any evidence that the bottles are taking the place of fish. As others have said, they're just taking the place of the 5 or 6 other things you used to get instead.
