And i'm just wondering, is there any known server where people just focus on PVE?

I'm an old man that just wanna chill and have fun, and not run away from people that thinks its "fun to kill" :)

From what i understand there is something called node wars, where the real PVP players are, and you get nothing for killing people in open world, so why do people do it? Or is it like in Batman, "some people just wanna see the world burn", hehe.

I'm guessing a lot of new players have been asking the same thing, and i'm sorry about that, but just really curious to why there is open world PVP if you get nothing from it. I mean, if they could steal silver or take gear i would totally understand it. I have seen on reddit people say that PVP happens when you try to "steal" their mobs, but isnt there like a million mobs that spawn every few seconds? I'm not looking for the perfect grind, or using every second of gameplay perfectly, i already have a job :)

Last few years i have been playing a game called Albion Online, when someone kill you there, they take everything you have on you, that is PVP i can understand.

I'm an old geezer as well and played EVE Online for 12 years, so my days of pixel flexing are over. I actually have multiple accounts of BDO so I can roll the Olvia servers and never leave.

Play an account until they kick me off Olvia, Move to a different account and repeat. The Olvia resets to returning player after 30 days of not logging in and I can return to my original account. It's a cheesy work around but I'm not chasing the end game top 5 so not 'keeping up' has no bearing on how I play BDO. Between Olvia and Season servers, 4 accounts I can always play BDO and never be pressed in to the forced for all PvP.

On another vein, I've been on that side of the game and it's rather lame. I've stared at the screen for some lengthy sessions watching some young superstar try and kill me. All for a Karma hit and the 'right' to grind at some ass end of nowhere spot for an hr or two. Season and Olvia servers are proof it isn't needed but they cling to the PvP.

If you aren't going to contested grind spots, Arsha server(s) are often better to avoid random PK.  Season Arsha gets out of hand sometimes since the predator types are guaranteed (?) easy prey, but that's not the case on regular Arsha.  And in both cases many people seem to avoid them because - PvP.  So those servers tend to be less populated.  Especially Season Arsha after the first week or two.  Although I have come across the random PKer camping obscure quest NPCs just to jump people.  Odd way to play the game.

Sometimes free for alls break out on Season Arsha in some areas.  Those can be fun too if you come across them and are up for a bit of that sort of thing.  Not going to get any grinding done where that is happening though.

May be a bit of tinfoil involved here, but generally seems to have worked out for me.

In fact, most of the time, if you get attacked while you're grinding, it's for the spot. Players want your spot.

I'd say, don't focus on the fact that you won't stay on a pure pve server, it's not hell on the pvpve servers, far from it.

In fact, you can even deduce how to avoid most of the owpvp : don't grind on the most popular grind spots and you may even forget that pvp is possible in this game.

And don't listen to Doomcallers, on Reddit or elsewhere! ;)

They just need to remove the 1 hour lockout on  Marni's Realm. Let the players who want to grind in peace, catch up with everyone else.

Because it's fun, and because we can.
