No thanks, each class has its identity, its own background. Removing gender lock would kill the uniqueness of every class.
Yeah like how only females can be pirates and guardians but males can't. It's not made up backgrounds, it's the only way it could have been imagined.

That is odd, I thought Professor Uno and that newsy kid in Calpheon are male shai? All you need to do is name your shai male and create it as such in the editor. Most of the hard part is the face. There are some generic costumes that don't scream you are wearing a dress too.

You probably never heard of NCsoft. Also a South Korean company, but they came with a game back in 2008 with no genderlock. That game is called Aion. The only exception in that game is then the muse but all other classes have both genders. So not every SK company does that.
I know this since I own and have played a multitude of NCsoft titles (GW1 to me still being their greatest in my opinion).
You look at a lot of Korean MMORPGs and mobile titles it's basically the same thing, " bunny ears, tits, g-string in ass, high-heels, etc, etc."
I'm saying I been playing this game four months after release here in NA and while there has been good changes overtime in order to stop their customers from packing up and leaving, the theme on genders has not changed and won't.

You're talking like there are equivalent options on both sides of genders, like there are alternatives on both. It's like what, 17 female to 9 male with the Maegu? And Shai is the only available short class for its type of audience and it's female only.

I guess I am going to have to take up GreenShadow's challenge and create a female version Sage and Hashashin.

I am not even that good at using this editor... just imagine what a little talent could produce. The only issue I see would be wardrobe but I am certain there are gender neutral clothing for these characters.
This was all too easy in my opinion.
