It's fine for world treasure items to drop at a random rate with no safety net, but for time-sensitive events like mysteries of summer in 2018 (essence of earth) and now this fish event for the title Dragon Snatcher, it is EXTREMELY UNFAIR
some players simply can't finish it first no matter how much more effort they put in, the first picture which belongs to Scalesdini#7786, had 4 eggs with over 4500 catches at the time Trung finishes catching all 10 eggs, with almost double the effort spent but getting less than half amount of eggs? this kind of event will make any future events that involve luck very unappealing to players.
Propose, a safety net feature, increase the weight (layman's term if you are not a programmer, it just means rng) of event rare drops like the egg/plump by 1% in a separated calculation for drops each time a player fails to catch one, so in the worst-case scenario, a player will be guaranteed to get the event item at the rate the developers wanted.
