Edit 19.09.24
With the Season ++ I was finally able to level up with a friend without him having to do that dull MSQ.
Please do the same for the normal season. Let the new players decide for themselves whether they want to do the MSQ for leveling or grind. Also, give them the option to change their mind at any time and continue their MSQ where they last left off.
--------------------------------------------------------
I was about to start leveling with a friend on the Season Server. He never played BDO, but i persuaded him with showing him BDO´s amazing Combat System. We both are not interested in Story. We just want to explore the open World, enjoy the Combat and do some PvP. Now we have the Problem, that he need to do the MSQ for the simplified Main Quest.
I said him all the time, befor he decided to play with me BDO, that BDO is a Sandbox MMORPG and not like WoW where u need to do X to unlock function Y. Where u have the Freedom do to what and how u want. And we want just to level through grinding mobs. This is something that the Game itself always advertised. I started realizing that BDO is not this Game anymore. Especially at the beginning the game hold ur hand and push u to do X to be able to do Y. Something that i noticed more and more. After the Velia MSQ my friend quit the Game and uninstalled it.
Why new Player need to do the MSQ to unlock the simplified Main Quest? For holding there Hands? Some new Player dont want it and dont need it.
Edit:
The structure and connections between the season rewards (Season Pass), normal MSQ and simplified MSQ are as follows: As a new player, if you want the Season rewards, you have to do normal MSQ. Here I already have the question why PA designed it that way. Why do you link the Season rewards to complete the normal MSQ? U
So we already have a prerequisite here. "Make the normal MSQ and you get the season rewards". What is understandable. Nobody should expect to get a reward without effort.
Then we have the simplified MSQ for those who have already done the normal MSQ. The prerequisite for the simplified MSQ is the normal MSQ and the completion of the normal MSQ is a prerequisite for the Season rewards.
So here we have a triple chain of conditions. First A for C, then B for C.
Alternatively, you could also can let the player decided from the start which way he wants to take to get his Season rewards. So the question comes again: Why did PA decide to structure the season rewards, the normal MSQ and the simplified MSQ that way? So I ask about the reason for this structure, not what the simplified MSQ is and not what that is for.
The path through the story is a gradual path with a red thread (theme park way) and the other way through grind is random, means that the player decide where he level. You don't have such a strong gradual path (sandbox Way).
Edit 2:
i know what i can do alternative to evade the normal MSQ.
But let's be honest. Who the hell is still leveling outside of the season? Not only is it more inefficient, but this way is so bad compared to the season that it makes no sense to even think about leveling outside the season.
Can't you just grind anyway and disregard the SMQ entirely? You'll get drops to make your Tuvala gear and such.
But doing the MSQ once will give you a lot of knowledge and energy, which is probably why it's mandatory.
But if the price is too high, then go forth and kill the things!

You get the Naru set from doing the Main Quest.
So, no Main quest = no Naru Set = no exchnage for Tuvala set.
You also get alot of inventory slots from the main quest.
Why new Player need to do the MSQ to unlock the simplified Main Quest?
If you want to get the benefits of the Main Quest (like Naru Set or Inverntory slots) you have to do it at least once!
If you don't want them, just don't do it and start grinding!

Yeah, but if you go grind, you get the season mats and you can exchange them for Tuvala as well.
And the seasonal weeklies are not 500 mobs max, so they are beyond trivial. Doing the simplified quest will help, but it's not the end of the world to skip it if they hate quests that much.
The inventory is a good point, though.
There's always "R" spam. If you both hate the story that much, but love the game, "R" spamming a couple hours through quests is a pretty nice way to get full upgraded gear and accessories.
I'd do it.

but u get from the simplified Main Quest this things too. My question is why i have to do the MSQ, as a new Player, in the Season, if i want the Season Rewards, although there is a simplified version? theoretically PA can let the a new player decide if he want to do the simplified or normal MSQ from the beginning, without doing the normal MSQ.

Yes we can, but in the current situation its a big disadvantage as a new player not to do the normal MSQ. In this terms its not a force, but a urge.

thats the point. we want the benefits from the normal or simplified MSQ but dont want do the normal MSQ. And the Question is, why we have to do the normal MSQ to unlock the simplified version? there is no reason beside of urge player to do there story.
i know what i can do alternative to evade the normal MSQ. But this Methods are less efficient and less rewarding as the simplified MSQ.
My points is that i dont see any necessary reason for locking the simplified MSQ behind the normal MSQ.
