I have small hopes we get a rework similar to what archer just got where our PvE performance is improved significantly and maybe PvP is addressed in a way that makes people drop the stigma it's "an AI class" and PvPing with her and against her feels more fair.

Actually, I hope it isn't like Archer, because I hate what they did to him.  Messed up mechanics, and took away his melee skills.  Still usable, but dumbed down and broken.

I don't want that to happen to Nova.  They should just have her go back to when they released her succession.  She was just fine then.

Nova's release state will be outdated now. New and reworked classes are miles ahead of that by any metrics.

Also, gotta disagree bout that Archer.My man's getting his identity strengthened, and I'd defo not say he's dumbed down: all s+q spammers have to do smth original now.

succ nova issue is long cool down and skills have "chain attack damage"

lower frozen earth cooldown and storming star to 10s, lower the other command skills by 2s, remove stamina cost on the long dash and grab, increase the damage of storming star, and she would be still just OK because of the long animations for all the skills

We also talked about chain damage a fair bit when we were making this post but to be perfectly fair and honest, it's not known how it actually works or what the hitbox of the chain hits is for the skills that have it, it's a very good mention though.

Some of the changes you want are gonna impact PvP too and I don't really want that just yet. I think we should first fix the PvE so people actually play her, then see where she actually sits in the meta.

Also Storming Star suffers from being a weak skill, it's not about the cooldown alone but about the really pitiful damage it does. You have a very long cast skill that makes you a sitting duck in every way and it doesn't really feel impactful...

Yeah, Storming Star needs a Prime version, twice the amount of hits, much faster cast time, and higher damage per hit.

So the may 10th patch came and the results aren't really noteworthy, besides the really nice fix to Axian hits in Prime: Fianchetto and Prime: Frozen Darkness, more info here. It amounts to somewhere between a 7 and 10% increase in trashloot for most spots without taking in consideration the buffs that happened subsequently to off-hands.

All in all we are pretty disappointed and Storming Star, a glaring issue in our DPS rotations, remains somehow unseen. I have decided to take a break from the game to not burn myself out, hopefully something happens for the few succession Novas that are still grinding and want to see improvements for the class!, I'll leave the post up of course and you're all welcome to add your ideas, just take into consideration the impact should be limited to PvE at least for this particular thread.

Yeah, it's indeed disappointing and burnout-inducing. Not being able to enjoy one of the main aspects of the game on your favourite class for no reason at all sucks. Sad to see you go. :(

It's also weird to see that someone goes around disliking the comments in here. Like, how sad and biased do you have to be to oppose strictly PvE buffs to literally the worst performing class in the game, that's also had the least amount of changes to it through the last couple of years? :(
