We also talked about chain damage a fair bit when we were making this post but to be perfectly fair and honest, it's not known how it actually works or what the hitbox of the chain hits is for the skills that have it, it's a very good mention though.
Some of the changes you want are gonna impact PvP too and I don't really want that just yet. I think we should first fix the PvE so people actually play her, then see where she actually sits in the meta.
Also Storming Star suffers from being a weak skill, it's not about the cooldown alone but about the really pitiful damage it does. You have a very long cast skill that makes you a sitting duck in every way and it doesn't really feel impactful...
impact what pvp, class is bottom tier in everywhere except aos.
the spec needs a straight juiced buff.
slow, no mobility, low/slow damage class in current meta is not fun to play, at all.
as for chain damage, the chain is just where the chains shown, if u are too close to an enemy you do the chain damage rather than the regular skill damage, so for a class that's supposed to be up in the front line, the class does no damage, succ nova is more like a mid-long range cc fisher, while holding the strongest* block in the game, this class design just makes no sense.
Succession Nova PVE state is terribile.
They buffed her a bit 20 days ago and SLIGHTLY increased some pve damages and today better classes in PVE got way bigger buffs.
It seems like they are afraid of overbuffing succession nova's PVE (who is the worst grinder in the game atm) but they don't care about overbuffing already decent/average classes.
Guess which is musa and which is nova:
Here you can see Nova skills getting SLIGHTLY buffed while Musa skills get huge buffs. Nova skills have longer CDs and longer animations as well. Don't get me wrong, awakened Musa's PVE wasn't best, but he was way better than succession nova regardless

Yes, it's important to keep in mind that Musa's PvE *absolutely* needed those buffs. He was below average in most higher-end spots.
But indeed, even then, Nova was and is in a much, much worse position; and she does not have the one-shot spot advantage that musa had.
