Herb gathering (with a hoe) can be a profitable, enjoyable and very relaxing activity. However one significant downside of it is the copious amounts of seed types you gather, which are a) basically worthless, and b) take up a huge amount of pack space.

Why not remove the chance of collecting seed form hoe gathering and instead add that chance to barehand gathering. In this way the two activities will be better targeted to  the desired outcome; Gathering with a hoe for alchemy ingredients etc., and barehand gathering for seed for farming.

If they made seeds stackable, that would already be a huge step forward. As it is, I pretty much never gather herbs because my inventory fills up with seeds and it's annoying.

The new Green Artisan gathering mini game (whilst great) is only exacerbating this problem.
