I miss Port Ratt.

I miss the promising landcapes, the mysterious background, the achitectures.

I miss this old and lost place in the middle of nowhere, but at the border of a land that was bigger than an island. Open to a whole new continent!

So promising...

The LOML is nice but empty.

No mobs, due to a different grinding system there, no life, empty caves, empty places, empty forests...

This island is less promissing than Port Ratt ever was.

Some musics are nice, though I didn't listen to everything because some parts were cacophonous so I turned it off at some point...

I've visited it and went back to Velia, nothing attractive on the island.

I'll only come back for main quests when I'll feel like doing them.

Some crumbs of Port Ratts, even in ruins, would have been so nice... something we could visit at least! So, FINALLY, we could go inside of every house, visit the whole village!

Now we have an island, small already, and we can't even visit it all: you blocked the half of it!

PA, it's really disapointing...........

LOML is not alive!

Only doing it for the new gains...Might be harsh saying this given Mountain of Eternal Winter exists but...This is by far, the worst region in the whole game (it's a beautiful land, the story was fun, the boss battles are fun, but, there's nothing to do, can't even do imperial delivery, or trade in lightstones for crystals for the new stuff to Dalishain cause, ain't there either)...And they sacrificed Port Ratt for this...

Yeaaaaah I'm enjoying what we have so far, like to me they did a great job but it just feels unfinished due to the lack of mob zones, half the island being unaccessable, no major city (even though the quest line talks about the capital city multiple times), no player housing, no where to really go into to explore. I am hoping they are planning on releasing the rest of it in a part 2.

As for Port Ratt, I miss it too. I like Nampo port buuuuut I was lowkey kind of hoping they'd keep the visual of Port Ratt. As a 5 year player, I remember going to Port Ratt and being so excited for them to finally open those red circle gates and let us through. So I was disappointed when I got to Nampo and there was no gate. No lanterns, nothing of the old Port. If would have been so satisfying to finally walk through those newly open gates

OP speaks like a true fan of the game. The complaint is more of a compliment at this point laced with concerns on why players don't get to enjoy the rest of the island since as a fan of the game, the desire to explore more is strong. I agree OP, I didn't get far into LoML yet but if it's as what you say then it's no different than the winter region being 3/4 locked. We didn't get ice fishing (only for an event and not even in that region) and we didn't get to go beyond into what appears to be a big taundra (winter desert). The desire to go there is eating me up inside.

The original lore is lost and feeling sad over this is the words of a true fan. I hope they hear you.

I dont agree, sorry but the new land is really well made, Port Ratt literally had nothing even though it was a pretty port.
That said, of course it could be better but, this is not comparable to Eternal Winter.

The way the stoyline began felt like a slap in the face for those who have a soft spot for Port Ratt.  I was cringing through the dialogue, which............. could have been better written and acted.  I felt glad to leave the "party".  Plus Emma was at the table, and off to the side, where she always is........her bi-location was turn-offish.....

So, I went to Nampo, via the Magnus.  I sailed to Ratt, and felt taking the time to sail to Nampo would not be as magical.  I arrived, and felt like I was in Velia.

They said to give Nampo a chance.  I give it a MEH.

I want to like this new land, so I did some exploring.  I'm glad I did, as I came to Gowun Plateau, which is a magical place.  Too bad the music I first heard doesn't always play there.  It really fit the vibe, and now I can't quite re-live it.  Too bad they have to have the lazy-man's way of playing music: random tracks so that they don't have to work to give every place it's unique identity......  So much work to carefully craft a lush landscape, only non-sensical music to play and ruin the atmosphere.  Thanks, PA.

Anyway, I came to Daelbol village.  Beautiful place.  If Port Ratt could have opened up directly to Gowun and to Daelbol, and there would be monsters AND bosses to fight here, I'd come back all the time.  But after the quest run-through...... PA, what is the point returning to LoML?

Long live the kingdom that has a name.  Long live Haso.

PORT RATT REMEMBERS

I see no reason to spend time in LoML given the fact its not cost effective and this game is based on income.. Fishing prices are horrid and lil to no mobs to farm.  Also the time it takes to get from one area to another is annoying.   Cost to Magnus there and back from velia is nuts.  you are already 32 Mil in the hole if you use the Magnus both ways.  Boating there is a waste as well as there are no quests to even turn in for traveling the distance.   I see this area as being like the Desert in my eyes, a few things spotted in various places and nothing interesting in between.  Also the chance for Forest Crystals is a joke..  I have spent hours fishing, hunting and having an artisan worker on the excavation node since launch and not one yet. During that time the normal income i was getting in old lands went down the tube.  Yes the scenery is nicew but it doesnt pay the bills.
