1 Ladet die Datei BlackDesert_Installer_NAEU.exe herunter und installiert den „Black Desert“-Launcher.

2 Bitte startet das Spiel, sobald die Installation beendet ist.

Crystal Protection without ruining Crystal Market

I had this idea due to mechanics leading to Crystal Loss such as unintentional Karmabombing scenarios or the benefit of using them more frequently since they act as build enablers in the first place and many would like it especially because you might loose either silver or the effort you made to acquire it.

However there are alot of reasons why it can be a downside because of either the Crystal Market dying or the process of acquiring them dying out and we clearly dont want that.

Many have suggested forms of Crystal Protection but in order to maintain the Crystal demand on the Market and keep the farming process flowing without killing the activity/ content of the game this ''Form of Protection'' could function in a similar way Alchemy Stones are refilled.

To be more specific and as others have suggested a form of Protection such as an item which acts as a cup or holder of the gem but one that needs the Crystal's ''Energy replication'' to power up or to maintaining the Shields ''Essence''. An essence that is alike to the Crystal itself.

That means you require a 2nd Crystal of the same type which is processed into consumable energy ''The Essence'' which will be used by the Crystal Protection item itself.

What durability and how frequently it might need refilling to maintain its strength is another story and i am not good with statistics and numbers.

Maybe 1 Crystal equal of 10 empowerements/ refills and durability depending on how many hits it recieves (Death = Breaking of the Energy that shields it).

I would even go as far as making crystal effects diminish the more the durability of the shielding is consumed (Non Technically but from an Imaginary point of view ''Having the protective item absorbing part of the Crystals Energy itself to maintain the Shielding thus consuming part of its power'' until its at 0). A cost for using the protective ''cup/ device'' of course i would also make it part of the Main Story Progression as ''Side Quests'' to familiarize New Character or New Player with the Crystal system starting to use them early on.

It will certainly maintain the Crystal Demand on the Market as well as Active Grind for it.

Maybe the idea is good maybe i am missing some points i dont know but it may help so i wanted to share it.

While your suggestion isn't a bad idea, it shouldn't require regular maintenance. If it "breaks" instead of being destroyed it just becomes inert. That's when the recharging should happen. 

Where your idea is flawed is suggesting you need the same crystal to recharge it. One, there's a lot of crystals. That would be a ton of new materials to use and keep track of. No thank you. Two, one of the problems with breaking crystals is the mountain of effort to acquire even just one of some types. And now you're suggesting they need multiple? 

The truth is there's no easy or clean way to protect Crystal loss without hurting the market in some manner.

It's impossible. If that were done then you would be allowing the permared since you put 12 abundance and ready. permared and your crystal never breaks. The long-term market will be affected by this change. I understand what you're saying because just yesterday I thought about it but then I saw other things and I saw that it's impossible for PA to do it.

Sure there is.  Make crystal breakage roll happen on release not on death.  That way if you tear you protect your crystals.  PA Makes money by selling pearls, players get to protect 5b crystals.  If someone wants to chance it they can.

Well requiring Maintenance everytime sure might be problematic.

On Breakage i wouldn't mind it at all.

Loosing it though is too high of a risk so in many cases plenty of players dont use them which is what we try to think of a way to avoid.

I mean if the community hasn't come up with what it wants then maybe the Devs can't decide either.

That's why i suggest needing a second Crystal to fix the one that was reduced to zero effectiveness.

I do understand why even that is a problem since some Crystals might be difficult to come buy.

So maybe a non specific Crystal way of restoring it? If we look at Crystal Categories for example we can see RBF Crystals, Ignore Resistance Crystals etc. So maybe Crystals of the same Category could work which would maintain some demand for different Crystals though i admit it would be the cheapest ones, so maybe even ''Tier'' related such as ''X'' Tier restores Crystal by ''X'' amount or something.

That's the best i could think off currently...
