Ngl...i thought this idea was.. bad at first upon reading it. However after getting to higher tier grind areas where you cant help but cheer like a dumba** over getting anything of "Value" and then getting slapped to death for doing that stupid stunt.. Yea i think permanent safe crystals would be an amazing idea until they remove that stupid feature of cheering while in a danger zone
There's no reason a 5 billion silver rare crystal should be breakable. AT MINIMUM this specific crystal needs to be unbreakable. At any rate until the dev starts listening to players my wallet is closed and I suggest others do the same, they only listen when their bottom line is hurt. Trying to keep this archaic system from years ago doesn't work now that crystals are worth billions lol
Ofc there is a heavy weighting one:
If no one loses crystals, they become just basic "clothing". And the market situation will lead to lowering prices. What a lot of people obviously don`t understand is: This reduces the fun of grinding. Would be hell of a game when trash is the only thing you can grind over and over for incomes.
I'm still for this, I just wanna be able to try new classes or new spots that I meet the minimum recommended requirements for without having to get an extra 20 more gs to not have the fear of losing 1+ bil due to a mechanic im trying to figure out. Make me pay a flat 50-100m fee a death to protect crystals on top of losing the buffs i already do, i dont care. I'd rather do that than have to either wait for another crystal to not sell to me on the market or have to go out of my way to grind out either mobs/hunting/lomlbosses/quests making it myself just to have it break the next time I want to try something new.
It just kinda forces you to play one class you're comfortable with in zones you completely out gear which stales the point of having now 27 different classes.
Take the money or delete a certain amount of trash, just leave me with my crystals plz.
What crystal breaking does for the playerbase:
- Frustration.
- Fear of even trying to grind the new areas.
- Ragequitting even.
I haven't even tried some of the new grinding zones because I refuse to lose a 2~4b crystal for a 800m~1b per hour.
If deaths were totally fair, it'd be an entirely different thing, but they aren't. Because 60% of the time you are going to die because of a sudden server lag, a sudden fps drop, a bad input reading from the client (happens more times that it should), or just by those weird moments when your character sheathes the weapon just because.
I made this suggestion in another thread idk if its been suggested before but:

Doesnt protect our crystals fully, but at least a barrier to complete loss due to desync and other errors.

It's not that we don't understand. But for most of us, permanent losses are not fun, above all when it comes from a crash or a disconnection.
You can get the fear of dying through another penalty, but this one implies so much money that it's really, really not "fun".
PA won't get a single penny from me until they get this in. It's just not fair that console players already have this functionality but PC players' time is not respected at all. I work full time and don't want to make negative progress grinding after work. It's enough that the enhancement system is so modest but this is just too much. And 3 Crystal recoveries are far too few for a whole year. If I want to try out a new class and I'm not that good at menchanics yet, I don't want to lose 5 bil crystal. Or when I'm trying out new spots. PA wants people with more gear to go to better grinding spots. It's just frustrating to get oneshot in the Crypt with 730 gs with full buffs + kabua artifacts, for example. Of course it was at night, but it's still stupid that such an old spot is more difficult than the new Ulukita spots, where I haven't died once in over 30 hours.
Personallly at 292ap 390dp i have a budget crystal setup. New player (July last year) refuse to buy or play meta crystals.
Whole crystal setup is crap.
No desire to invest in something i can lose on a whim.
If they don't want to remove crystals breaking, at least add crystal durability to the game and everytime you die, your durability decreases, and if you don't restore durability(which you can get from grinding crystals) or it reaches '0' it then breaks, just my idea though. Also if this was mentioned before in one of the previous comments I apologize.
