What benefit would there be to evasion if you give up damage (ap brackets), crystal builds, artifact builds and accuracy if it was just as tanky as DR. Just because some 289 evasion striker can one combo you does not make evasion overpowered. As a hardcap player who has played evasion and dr, both are good and I honestly prefer the DR playstyle. Not only that, some actual DR classes like Drak with hardcap gear can approach 600 DR, can survive a TON of chip damage, do excellent damage and do not have to give up any crystals or artifacts. This whole evasion is overpowered nonsense needs to stop. Get more gear and learn class counters.

Or, and here me out, there could be detriments to building tanky for once.  You shouldn't get to completely ignore damage while dishing out insane damage of your own (yes I'm calling you out sorcs).  It doesn't matter if you're talking about evasion, dr, or just iframe spamming.  Its all the same problem and its all actively detrimental to the playability of the game.

Do precision and evasion, which are a statistical overcoat originally designed for static pen and paper and turn based gameplays to simulate real actions being performed with dice rolls ... have their place in an action game with actual aiming, dodging and overblown mobility to begin with ? (with a gaameplay allowing to physically aim and move away from attacks, in real time, which a turn based / tab target / pen and paper system can only simulate with stats)

problem is: for the tankiness gained, good evasion classes(eva passive, good %eva self buffs with high uptime) dont lose enough damage, to be quite honest.

u should be either tanky or kill people efficiently. most good eva classes will put u away easy while having multiple safety nets themselves vs dieing.

drak is also indeed an issue, but not because of dr itself but the fact devs gave it giga self heals on multiple protected skillls, and one of them is bugged and abused and heals them for way more than it should(and everyone knows it beside devs that SHOULD know it. fcken sad).

there are also some dr classes that can be super tanky and deal more than decent damage, and devs should defo look into that as well. they had no issue crippling casters with class vs class modifiers, maybe its time for them to do the same to some other classes.

Agreed. They should nerf your class.

You complain about them crippling casters, but homie, casters are among the classes that can stack evasion rn and not miss out on much damage because your kit is overstacked with evasion shred. It really is the only thing you can't complain about your class. But then, by your own logic, they should nerf your class. You don't need massive eva passives. Succ sage has no passive evasion or eva buff, and his eva base stats are only about 15-20 higher than yours. He manages being tanky just fine, and his damage output is stupid with all the evasion shred/accuracy he has going on on top of his dmg modifiers.

Also, I'm confused about why you're whining about evasion classes in your post when the EU meta is DR stack classes like Valk, Drak, and Zerker.

Imo both builds should be buffed and reworked, TTK in this game should be increased. Without 580-600 (what is close to rnd game gear) DR u die instantly without ~1300( what is close to end game gear) evasion u die instantly against geared players. It could not be, difference between endgame and soft cap players should be around ~10% and everyone will be happy and start having fun. If they will buff DR they will buff evasion in the same time...

(also, awa casters dont have single evasion self buff except on e-buff. stacking evasion on them is MILES less effective than on any class that has actual passive plus evasion selfbuffs.)

You don't need evasion self buff or evasion passive now to be tanky with evasion. Your class just needs decent base eva, an evasion offhand, and the new juiced crystals.
