ughhhh dude, why were u grinding with no crystals on??? When you are red your gear can't downgrade if u have crystals ON, first the crystals go, if u are with 0 crystals equipped then there is a chance for gear downgrade, thats a thing since always. If you didnt wanna lose crystals, just make a page with cheap crystals while red or something.

No, you need to have 5+ crystals to ensure that your gear wont break

Well. No sympathy for reds. I played UO and I'd love to see their system implemented - if you die your stuff in your inventory and equipped gear was lootable - for reds. Let's see how "badass" the PKers are then.

It would be ideal if killing mobs that the player killed in last ~5min (first) would give you the karma penalty instead of the player that defends his spot.
So you could repeatedly murder griefers and get them to loose gear. But PA loves griefers and defends them any way they can.
