as we all unfortunetly know, cc resistance will probably stay in the game forever and i would like a way to counter it by items that already "exist" in the game:

its obviously not as strong as the 25% knockdown resistance adamantines crystals (well, more like 50% actually since its 2 slots), but quantity over quality to beat it might be a "fair" sacrifice to do so.

we all know that while trial are a small part of the game, guilds does use it for equally geared fights such as tournaments or duels/team fights, and i think it will greatly improve the system by adding back the items.

I think the way its set up is done for a reason, and i doubt it will be changed. Let me offer you a alternative though. There is a lot of gear in this game that has over the power creep become completely useless. How about boosting it to end game levels by adding additional non ap/dp bonuses that allow for different gameplay styles in pvp, Like an entire set bonus on an armour set that ignores the ingore resistance cap. So the balance isnt changed massively, but it allows an alternative in play style. Or another one that breaks the resistance cap, for the same reasons.

For example, you could have a set that is considered equal to boss items, that has lower dp and ap because those have not been buffed, but wearing the entire set makes you immune (or close) to cc.

I think everyone scrambling for basicly the same identical gear is one of the bigger detreiments to pvp combat in the his game.

Some classes need resistance to counter other classes.

A cc break on a cooldown for example would be a reliable alternative for both sides of the fight.

Not sure what you mean PW, there is already a cc cooldown timer in place. Do you mean something else?

Yes, a cc cap is not the same as a cc break. A cc break is usually in the form of a skill that allows you to "break" free from any applied cc's and in some games also applies a short window of immunity to cc's.

well, only about witch and awak wizard actually need resistance.
but i didnt suggest to remove it (although i would be happy if they did since it will make the game more skill based), i suggested to give a way to counter it.

about cc break, i dont think it will work in bdo because of 1 main reason - it will eliminate any way for a player to outplay a more geared player because players will just play around the cc break cd and hp regen you get over the fight.

i really dont think its a good idea to make someone completely immune to cc as a passive effect, it will make it just a gear check with dmg trades.
