Hi PA.
I took advantage of the event to tag a character with my main, for the first time.
As I was gathering, I forgot about the "trade" section in the conditions for tagged characters and had to throw away a lot of them.
I don't understand that condition, when you could simply avoid abused moves like char A has lots of weight from trade goods, switches to char B to move far away and switches back to char A to sell them. As I heard around, it seems to be the reason why you forbade trading with tagged characters.
It just doesn't feel right, as it's a lifeskill like every other and should be available no matter what.
So, with your actual rule, no trading, no fishing and no lifeskill quests.........
Now, if the reason mentionned above is really the one that made you change the rules -- switching to avoid travelling overloaded -- here are 2 simple solutions to stop this nonsense, chose the one you want:
1. as long as a tagged character got a trade item in his inventory, he can't switch to the other tagged or any toehr character.
-> then it won't be a problem, he can fulfill his quests and keep trading like he should do.
2. as long as a tagged character got trade items in his inventory, the weight of those are shared with the tagged character.
-> so no more "abuse" from those who, apparently, used a tagged character to move faster to a far location.
I'd rather have the first solution, which is logical, and I'm sorry Pearl Abyss but I wonder why you had not thought of that in the first place, instead of blocking 2 entire lifeskills (trading and fishing) with this stupidity............
So please, do something about it, there's no reason why we shouldn't lifeskill normally.
Regards.

Tagged characters have been unable to trade since tagging was introduced. This was before they introduced gear copy.
I think the original idea was that swapping to your tagged character if the other was carrying trade items would protect you from the risk of death and potentially thousands of trade crates.
But yeah, they should rethink this at this point.
Yep, especially when simple solutions are available.
I really wonder why they made that choice in the first place...
