The free dream horse event drew a lot of returning and new players to try BDO again, I think these big limited time events are actually really great for pulling people in and getting them to try different content the game has to offer.

One thing that sadly feels very neglected is ocean content, trying to sail margoria on anything less than a carrack is pretty darn painful.

I would really like to see a sailing event that lets people really dip their toes in ocean content easily, removing the absurd barrier to entry that this content has.

Even being on top of your dailies and bartering you are looking at multiple months before you can even efficiently engage with the meat of ocean content.

I think if a dream horse which is an item that requires quite a bit of investment in its own right is offered as an event item, then is there really any reason why it couldn't be considered for a ship?

Hell, everyone seems to meme on the carrack balance, maybe offer that as an option or treat it like the dream horse event where you can choose one ship of your choosing so even people who have a ship already can potentially get some use out of it.

There is just one point, that is diffrent from ships to horses. Ships are 100% guaranteed. You take the time it need or you dont, while on horses you can have luck on first attempt or fail up 30 times +. I love sea content but dont have a carack as i am to lazy for bartering for it. But its my decision and i dont miss anything.

Yeah.....but those are nothing compared to a carrack.....I hate doing bartering to get a carrack.....why can't I upgrade my galleas with the green equipment to a carrack? I really want to upgrade my galleas to a carrack with green equipment and then remove the bartering mats needed for carrack upgrades and just leave the daily mats...it would not be this painful if they remake how to build a carrack

Bartering being a requirement rather than an optional is definitly another pain point.

I would also point out that unlike horses where you can buy and sell them on the horse market, there is no option to purchase ships and / or higher tier ship materials. As an alternative this could be considered where other ships or high tier ship materials (looking at you brilliants) could be purchased and sold.
