It will be more beneficial to remove arsha entirely and apply the drop rate to all servers. With dwindling PvPers from the new influx of players, Arsha zones can only sustain 1-2 grinders doing rotations...it only benefits 10-15 people at max. Much better to have that spread out across servers.
Most of the people I know that play BDO 24/7 and do PvP are broke in real life or collecting mental disability checks ( They not spending it on BDO neither)[...]
We clearly don't have the same neighborhood! 😅
[...] They say go to Arsha, of course that would be a great solution since I'm 100% of my time there but guess what? It's a dead and empty server.
Yep, Arsha should grant a better bonus loot. It would:
- 1st: compensate the time spent on duels
- 2nd: attract more players
- 3rd: if so, it would probably lead to more Arsha Servers (would love that)
All PA has to do is increase the bonus loot to like 250%. As it is now, it can't attract much since the poor 50% is not worth it, you lose money, buffs and time in pvp, not in grinding.

Where's this influx of players? The one metric we do have is steam charts, and ever since dec changes, the player base has tanked. My channel group feels deader every day. Ships showing up to Vell is less than half it was prior to changes. Can't really fathom where you drawing this cope from about an "influx".

No point in trying to talk sense into the clueless.
You are 100% correct on the numbers, the issue that this guy was bragging about was the short term influx of players do to PA'S campaign of pushing content creators to review BDO Due to the new area...
Ever since the content creator campaign has ended, as well as the removal of Dec's and arena of solar the addition of fam Karma and Marni area buffs both spawn rate and time to 12 hours.
The over all numbers are in a MASSIVE SLIDE we are literally down a full 1/3 of population.
I can assure you that all those players that came in are already dead players and went dark within a week. And are now at this point close to 60 days from last log in.
All of these passive, casual PVE players that were bragging about how great the changes are... are going to see what reality is here pretty quick.
Thank you for the PvP changes PA!!! Now that PvPers have to go to Arsha our guild is noticing a huge influx of players to the point we now are considering making a third guild. It would seem the GvG changes had a incredidble effect on server longevity and stability in the long run.
Indeed. Gvg fights are now legitimate
Pvp players population compared to casual pvers will always be irrelevant. The original guild wars game for example launched as a pvp game, it was the first of its kind that was a legit competitive pvp game. Pve was suppose to be a side thing that taught the fundmantals on how to pvp. But pve became so popular and there were so many pvers that eventually the game shifted focus from pvp to pve. At the end pvp became the side attraction while pve became the main attraction. When GW2 launched it was created as a pve game first and a pvp game second and it shows by the game play mechanics.
This is the pattern of nearly all mmos. I'm sorry to say but pvp players are always a minority. It doesn't matter if they spend a lot of money, it will never be more than all the pve casuals combined buying cute pets, costumes and other aesthetics.
^this
It would be fun if they turned all of Balenos' and Serendia's Channels into Arsha and then perma-raise the Item Drop Amount by ~200% and Item Drop Rate by ~150% as well as the max values respectively. Then it would be kinda interesting. For the people that will say that this will be OP (values are being exagerated here); well, at least the competitive players will 100% play there as there will be the price of OWPvP-at-any-given-moment to pay. In the end, isn't BDO Progression System all about "High Risk-High Gain and/or Tedious Grinding"?
Strange to request PVE income bonus when players are supposed to go there to PVP.
It would only attract players looking for better income but still not really for pvp. It straight up a very bad thing to do as you oppose people not looking for the same thing.
to promote owpvp they should rather rework arsha owpvp rules, develop a lot of open world activities build around pvp with reward and xp to also let players progress only doing pvp. (like GW2 can do with their WvWvW) that would be interesting. People had a lot of fun with their first BR version in BDO as they could pvp + progress (before PA fked everything up, again)
Instead of looking for the "Let's bait pve players with pve income and hunt them down because they are easy target"
Look it up. And no, PA is hitting record players, see first post.
"Record player numbers"...
Its almost like the griefing players are killing the game kinda weird to say a games more popular when there is stats contradicting your own statement.
Also gvg change was when.
It is almost like the change caused people to leave. Wonder if the game will hit 12k average players or less.
All the pvx players said "carebears would start on the arsha having bonus loot drop if pvp in general was changed" considering it doesnt even do much on rare items. They proved us all right funny that almost like they have done it to every mmo they touch ... Just took them 8 years this time.
Cant wait to all the carebears move on to Mortals Online or archeage (oh wait they already trying there to). Next MMORPG with pvp an the circle of carebears spamming a new forums will start :D
