Hi there!
I don't know if this topic belongs here, I didn't quite understand where to post, if it doesn't work, tell me! :D
For a while now I've been encountering a very annoying bug.
During automatic fishing (afk) if I choose a rarity level and/or not to board a boat my game crashes or disconnects a few moments later.
Obviously I checked several times on my side (my internet connection, my PC and game settings, etc.).
But nothing changes, having to reconnect every 10 minutes is not a viable solution :D.
I would appreciate knowing if this came from me or PA.
Good day.
Should submit a ticket: On the website, go to Support > FAQ and submit an inquiry.
Try doing the "Scan Files" on the launcher screen, that may take care of your problem.
You can also delete your Cache and Temp files:
Documents > Black Desert > Temp
Documents > Black Desert > UserCache
(Game directory - different depending on if you're on Steam version) > Cache
After deleting your temp and cache files, run the Scan Files again at the launcher.
If you're on the Steam version, open your Library in Steam, right-click Black Desert and click Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity of Files. Let that run then open Black Desert and again, click "Scan Files" on the launcher.
Hello buddy.
Unfortunately, PA seems to be aware of those constant crashes, as you are not the only one to suffer it, but they take it sloooowwwly to the next step: solving it.
It's not only during fishing but might happen while doing any other activity in the game. I let you imaging how annoying it is during Node Wars or RBF... (pvp so) and it's been months years.
Picklenose gave you a few good advices and I might add some myself:
- while running BDO, do you have another programm runing? Check the ones that you can prioritize or even the ones you could close.
- If you have some web browser, you might need to close it if it takes too much ressources (depending of what you do) or even cleaning the historic, temps and cookies.
- adapt your graphics in the game in order to consume the less possible. You might be afk then but your comp runs many things, one of them might have a high spade and take suddenly too much ressources, ensuring a crash.
- in a more extreme mesure, you can try to fully reinstall the game at another place. If you have another hard drive or partition, you can try there. (I know it solved many problems I had after a BDO update ruined one of my partitions, so I had to move it all. Perhaps it could help you too)
Of course, all those by considering that you checked well your parameters, as you said you did.
Let's cross our fingers and hope that PA will take those many issues seriously in consideration. For the moment, all you can do is try to optimize the use of your computer and clean the most you can.
Regards.
