I love BDO but I stopped PVP at level 56 a long time ago...when I saw you can progress forever...and widen the gap forever...

And how is comparing an active, verifiable, BDO forum account that's linked to an in-game account to an unverifiable, non-linked account and then laughing at it an Ad Hominem? But while you're at it, please, copy and paste any evidence that "I'm doing what he's doing", and by that, I assume strawmanning, providing contradictory information of a made-up scenario and/ or throwing shade to the game and the community. I care about this game and this community, which is more than what you and Vortexii can ever say.

I literally try my best to be a "good" community member, with my personal interest aligning with what's best for the game and community itself, so if I have made any comments that go against that (aside from my insults to this, specific, "user"), then it should be proven and shown to all, in verifiable, plain text.

That's where, in my opinion, you're wrong.

It won't break the game. Your gameplay on your PvPvE server won't change, you will just share it with people that want to share it (so, like minded people).

Another misconception is that the PvE servers (or worlds) must be shared with the PvPvE ones by freely allowing people to swap in between, that is merely an option the devs can explore, but it doesn't have to be like that.

They could completely separate the two worlds (by not allowing to change in between) thus effectively giving you two distint options on how to play the game (then it doesn't matter that in some people opinion the only good thing about this game is the PvP, that is merely an opinion that is not shared among everyone, at that point data will talk).

Actualy, if you would had understood the pve channel request correctly, a part of the players base dont complain because diversity, they complain for a lack of diversity ( as there is no other path than a pve WITH forced pvp )

That thread actual request for more diversity  => a no forced pvp path option.

The request is clearly understood, but not supported by some of us. 

And you request from devs something that they avoided until now. You want a choice that do not exist in BDO, at least not if you want to actively play the game in the long run.

But did you ever wonder why they choose to give the current choice, and not the one you want? For you, is it nothing more than a dice roll, a random decision ?

OK this topic will never end, I will put my last words/opinions and be done with this thread that devolved into drivel.  It's a bit of a rant post, but if you're open to honest discussion, it's my point of view.  There will always be people asking for PVE Only server in BDO, I feel, most being new players or low geared / lacking in skill.  The ONLY reason being "so I can't get killed by another player".  That's literally the ONLY reason.

A crap reason, IMO.  Why, you may ask?  Well, because I've been there.  Do you think I was always geared enough to defend myself confidently?  Nope.  I was super low geared for the first 2 years of my time here.  And this was during Sausan's / Pirate's days -- PVP was WAAAAY more poppin' back then compared to how tame it is nowadays.  ESP when you have Seasonal Server.  Anyway, back then, PVP was pretty much understood by all players who grinded mobs --- those of us who braved into Pirate Island or Sausan's knew this quite well.  But now, with the influx of 1-2 year or less players who likely came from other MMO's like WOW or ESO start playing BDO and see how different it is, how PVP is so intertwined with PVE, they want to change it.  For ONLY the fact they get killed by others.  As if swap server doesn't exist.

I had to fight and claw my way up.  Taking side rotations at Pirate's.  Taking the Beach rotation at Sausan's.  Avoiding main rotations for fear of my virtual life and embrarassment because I was low geared and would get stomped.  I know how it feels to be weak and the desire to be strong.  For me, this was MOTIVATION.  When you're out grinding mobs, you need to know PVP is a possibility -- You're grinding mobs!!  BDO is not some candy-land, cotton-pillow, strawberry-gum-drops game.  Go play Barbie Horse game if so.  I had to go through the gamut -- so why do YOU get special treatment, huh?

You guys whine and compain about "whales" killing you.  How do you know they're actually whales?  How do you know they're that much more geared than you?  You don't.  I'm willing to bet the majority of your PK deaths come from people right around your GS, give or take. Unless you're grinding Star's End with like less than 261ap/320dp Kutum, which is on the low side of gear at SE.  But at that point, you take a side rotation, like I did at Pirates some years ago, and gear and skill your way up to better rotations.

People like Fearless, Woots and Vortexii, to all of you I say, get over yourself. Does BDO make you mad because it doesn't tickle your ego like Guld Wars or ESO as a gearlet?  Does it make you sad that your ego cannot be so easily tickled in BDO, that you actually have to put in serious work, make calculated risks, experience serious losses, to get geared, and cant just spam the same dungeon over and over?  You want to make BDO easier for you, so you remove PVP, so you can just grind, uninterrupted -- I didn't have that luxury, neither did any other veteran, so why are you such a special snowflake that you get this special treatment?  What do you guys ever do aside from trash this game and this community?  Nothing -- just trash the game and trash community members.  And know the ONLY people I talk harshly to are YOU THREE, DO THE MATH.

Fearless, did you reinstall BDO yet?  Retto, or whatever your name is (Vorexii), are you going to link your account yet?  Woots, -_- just ugh.

The gripes of Lifeskillers, I can feel that.  You, I can feel for.  But mob-grinders, psssh -- no.  Go lifeskill if you're so afraid of PVP, because PVP happens over grind spots a lot.  Don't want to PVP?  Then don't grind mobs.  Want to grind mobs with no PVP?  Play another game.  I had to deal with all of what yo're complaining about, but look at me now -- I can show you my gear and control of my class if you want.  Wouldn't have got here without the motivation to get stronger, and that motivation came from getting rekked, many, many times.  OWPVP is so tame now anyways, it's so rare compared to before.  There's so many rotations and channels.  Maybe if they reduced the channel swap CD if you're getting killed over and over, it could help.  Lots of other QoL things and reworks of systems, etc. too, but acomplete shift of BDO from PvPvE to PvE Only?....even on one server?....dunno how to say just how wrong that feels.

PVE server in BDO is simply not BDO.  BDO is PvPvE since day freaking ONE of release.  On all servers.  Can't split the community either by making dedicated servers and forcing people to stay in one permanently.  That's just dumb.  BUT IF a PVE Only server is introduced, then I hope it comes with foresight and planning by the devs.  Can't just wake up one day and be like "OK we gonna bring PVE Only servers" and laddie daddie their way around it. 

PVE Only needs to be carefully implemented, they can't be all willy-nilly about it with not a shred of logic, critical thinking and being educated about what's really good for the game, something Woots would love.  And I commend the devs for not doing so and making small introductions like Season.  The same devs who literally said PVE Only is against the vision of BDO.  I hope they stick to their words, despite all the carebear cries, "waaah help me PA, I am but smol poor boi, I cannot fite big man.  Save me PA, remove PVP".  PSSSSSSH!!!  How about a Lifeskill Server?  Haven't read anyone suggest THAT! 

You want all the benefits of a normal channel without the risk of PK -- how entitled do you have to be to want that?

But who knows, maybe one day you'll get your sacred safe space.  That day will be the day BDO stop raking in BILLIONS of dollars, though, I predict.  We know why people spend lots of money here -- it's for gear.  What do you need gear for?  PVE?  LOOOOOOL, please!  Yeah right.  People whale $$ on gear -- FOR PVP.  Melting Crons, Artisans, all that are for gear -- gear that's used for PVP.  Something to keep in mind.  Company's gotta make money, you know.  Good luck whaling when you can't even smash Crons on Manos clothes.  And good luck whaling when 281ap/325dp is enough gear for like 90%+ of the grind zones.  The point here is PVP makes them money.  So unless that changes, then I can't see them adding a PVE Only server to BDO anytime soon.
