Exp will be added up and counted until the maximum is reached, i.e. Guru 50. Who has more? Well, it will lose a bit, but let's be honest: there are only a handful of such players, and why develop extremely high-level life skills on more than one character.

Probably will be able to sell them to npc. 99% of them come from the event, i.e. players got them for free, so the PA will certainly not give any compensation for them.
It was similar with manos processing stones.

I recently spent time getting multiple characters to guru and this change hit me in the gut. I can't imagine getting guru on several lifeskills and on multiple characters with all that time being lost. Talking weeks or months of work, potentially billions that were missed out on. Hope they provide more details or change their approach on this. 

I do hope exp will be added up, but I see players commenting on forum/discord/youtube that it won't be merged, but they will just use your highest rank and make it family wide. I do hope that's not correct.

You must not be a lifeskiller to say "why develop extremely high-level life skills on more than one character". I mean, why do anything at all then? Why spend hundreds of hours getting pity pieces or going for PEN? Why grind titles? It's an achievement, personal or public, that took a lot of time, sacrifice, and planning to reach. To take that away without any kind of balancing action is a gut punch. 

As a someone who has spent 500+ hours on leveling alts life skills for High Fame these changes are both upsetting and saddening.

I personally did enjoy the dopamine from playing on alts, it was like a test for me on how fast I can get back to master levels on x life skill. I also do hold lots of pride on my 20+ alts on pro 1 sailing since it took me months to do since it's time gated content.

Also lots of players have multiple high Guru alts for hunting and cooking, if they don't raise the cap in anyway that's lots of hours lost.

I do hope they decide not to erase all of our hard work by just taking the easiest route and "taking the highest" life skill from each character.

I'm frustrated myself with those changes. I've worked hard on my characters to manage their own lifeskills and this change kills me. All this hard work gone like smoke. But I'm not surprised now, I take it, like all other disappointments that came during last months from PA.

To me this was pretty much the only good announcement of the Calpheon Ball.

Simply check ingame rankings and you would see that theres currenty hundreds of G50 cooks online. Along with all alts and currently offline players its not "a handful".

If possible, I want a refund for all the items I purchased on alts so I can have all the crystals, presets, storages, alt weight, inventory, etc..
