PA Design Philosophy 101:
1. Create a game designed around highly mobile combat with the ability to zip in and out of reality.
2. Design a class polar opposite to that philosopy, highly immobile, 10 sec iframe and reliance on block. Plus Health sacrifice to do combos.
3. Design a class were most of their skills put them into a block stance.
4. Design said class to have summons to protect her.
5. Design said class with no accuracy, low base ap, long cds.
6. Design a specific positioning mechanic that is present in no other class in game (chain damage). Punishing the class with low damage when they are mispositioned and rewarding them with less damage than all other classes when perfectly positioned.
7. Introduce a mechanic that punishes a player for blocking by making it so they can't recover block guage for a specific time. Even though they designed an entire class around......block.
8. Leave evasion the exact same because its fine, block is the issue.
9. Destroy said classes ability for summons to protect her.
10. Continue to introduce new zones that requires high accuracy and new gear that boosts evasion, even though they designed a character that has zero accuracy bonuses. In addition, design said class around summons. With their summons contributing to a majority of their damage. Yet give said class summons no accuracy at all. Yet give another class who relies on their summons less (woosa) accuracy bonus on their summons. Make it make sense.
11. Rework all classes in the game, except this class design because for whatever reason the devs felt it was fine.
12. Introduce a new zone that requires no mobility with monsters who chain CC.
13. Punish said class by ignoring them during the next round of class buffs because said class does "ok" at new spot because it just so happens that it requires no mobility and said class has super armor on a lot of their skills.
14. Finally after years remove health sacrifice but replace it with something equally not needed. There is no special bonus for Nova to use extra divine points for skills over other classes. Her damage is still lower than nearly every other class. So what is the purpose of sacrifice extra divine points then?
15. Continue to keep an enrage mechanic something that most nova players seem to hate. For some reason PA thinks its awesome for players to lose most of their skill damage in exchange for a summon going berserk.
16. Acknowledge that the class is the worst pve class in the game, yet continue to ignore them during balance rounds. But oddly when they do get around to buffing them, they buffed them for pvp more than pve.
17. Punish players for playing a class you designed in a game world not designed for their playstyle.
Way to go PA!
Every day I question their MO. It seems to contradict intellectual behavior.
I'm not a robot
I am human
You'd be better off asking for a full rework of the class. I don't think they can make the class good with its current kit.
I dunno. I can pretty constantly throw out hordes of black mobs. If they did dmg, it would be nice. I am pretty nub at nova, but y'know sf mobs shift q mobs, get the combos and then get the mourning star slam, too.
In an area like Aakman (which IS TRASH BTW WHAT EVEN IS AAKMAN) where there are a bunch of supposedly tanky mid level mobs, she can just obliterate everything. It must be scaling. Cuz there are many hits and the health goes down real nice. It just needs to do more dmg imo.
As for pvp, I dunno. My end goal is to try succ nova at a place like jade. Her ability to stand still and launch is pretty nice. I saw this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4zb4qeRBb8
and that's arguably not even perfect aiming with skills (a lot of misses or not full hits,) that kit seems legit for farming, to me.

If you mean dehkia aakman, succ nova is well behind other classes. If you mean regular aakman, then yeah, it's definitely the scaling issue. It's not nearly as apparent at low-end zones.

yeah. I dunno about the whole pve accuracy thing, but I do think her kit is good, as I was saying.
I like the idea that certain classes have different skillsets for farming different areas, cuz areas are different, you know? But yeah if you scale bad or can't hit that's bg. Should be an easy fix tho.
I don't have tent buff and I don't use perfumes, etc, but it def seems like I play nova differently than most people. I might be playing 'wrong,' but it works? I do end up using like 300 mana pots an hour tho haha.
Edit: forgot to say I watched my friend farm darkseekers as he was boosting me. If nova doesn't excel there, that's garbage. It's a great set up. There is something fundamentally wrong.

I don't mind characters having 'specializations', but the rift shouldn't be too high imo; and to be fair succ nova doesn't really have one. She doesn't just not excel at DSR, she flat-out sucks there; like at every single end-game spot, including very stationary ones.
I got a feeling I'm gonna be roasting some mobs. :o
Dunno about you late game doods, but this ought to be interesting.

double post:
Yeah, what I'm saying is in a purely conceptual sense, SHE SHOULD BE GOOD. lol. It's ez. It's numbers basically. Her 'kit' is superstrong, to me. Very unique playstyle of just flatting waves of mobs. And yea I know tho that she sucks there. I was saying that she should not.
We shall see what happens w/ the dmg changes. The only thing I worry about is the number of attack changes. I thought it was fun to set up so that you had to get as many hits as possible. I dunno if it's gonna make her that much different if you lower attacks for more dmg (even tho dmg will be higher.)
Does seem like accuracy is the biggest thing. I wonder if building her diff would help? No idea. Would be nice to have infinite money to play around, ey? At least it's a unique class. I was saying the same about Corsair. I was like yooo you dudes are kinda underrating this class haha.
