Gonna call BS on this one.  The edge cases sound like exaggerations to me.  1 TET Fail on a 293 stack isn't out of the realm of RNG, because even at 293 Tet has a sub 50% success rate.   The rest of your claims seems to be flat out lies.  12 Garmoth Hearts and 6 Vell Hearts?  That sounds just as implausable as the guy who spent 5,000 hours grinding the compass "before getting the drop", because no  he didn't 5,000 hours is 3 1/2 years grinding 4 hours a day, and using 5,000 loot scrolls.  People lie all the time about their RNG, or the perceived RNG of others.

Honestly, my post wasn't written to convince you to believe me. So it don't matter much to me if "YOU" believe me or not. The experiences above with the first person was verified by my own eyes and others. The 2nd guy was yours truly do have people to back that one up. And the 3rd instance I was able to verify that person actually got 4 Garmoth Hearts and 2 Vells Hearts just from the random RNG events in the past 6 months. They also got 2 Vells Hearts in front of me from Vell.

But anyways if you choose to ignore what I've said and brush it off as nonsense. Then that is on you. All I'm doing is explaining why I believe the percentages in this game don't mean what most people playing think they mean. There are clear patterns and favortism, and if you pay attention you'll also see how futile it is to brute force to endgame unless you are either a no-lifer, and high spender, or bless by divine mandate of BDO to succeed.

You can take the information and start paying attention yourself, or ignore it and act like nothing shady is going on. The choice is yours. But I'll leave you with this, experience the success rate on multiple different RNG generators. I'll bet $1000 USD none of them will allow you to fail a 90% 7 times in a row. While allowing someone else succeeding 4 3% or less back to back to back to back.  Yet I've personally witness both at least 4 times in BDO.

Clearly you don't understand what the entire situation is.  They would increase the chance to get that "cool new card" from the boxes until obtained once, then once obtained the generator would greatly reduce the chance to get the new card.  Because you needed 5, 8, or 15 cards depending on game until maxed all pulls until the final one were useless.  The lowering of chance to get the special final card is what the problem was.  BDO has very few "gatcha" box type items, and those "GATCHA" boxes don't even qualify to begin with due to how they work.

Also, there is not a single MMO out there without RNG of somesort, it just matters where the RNG is.  I much prefer the RNG of BDO where once obtaining the final item it's all identical where in other games the RNG is on the stats so even if you get that special super BIS item it might be trash because the DEX rolled min at 120 instead of the cap of 150, making it worse than the item that is 3 gear qualities below that one.

BDO isn't rng.  how could i have 3 losing streaks, each with less than a one in a million chances of happening?  I saved the screenshots.

Try flipping a coin 24 times and getting all heads or all tails in a row.  Let me know when you succeed at either

We should be fair. There are players like myself and I'd guess you as well who have >40,000 hours in this game, and over 10 million players. Considering that it's far more reasonable that something like this would happen.

Try having over a million people flipping coins, now have them flip those coins 100 times, there is going to be at least a handful of people who naturally get 24 heads in a row or 24 tails in a row.  If it was ONLY 1 person flipping the coin 100,000,000 times then sure it will only happen that you get 1 string of 24 heads in a row.  You getting lucky or unlucky does not provide enough data to "prove" anything.

See above.  You are not just tapping 90% rates those 7 times.  Succeeding 7 times in a row on 90% chance is not very likely either.  I am guessing you forget all your successes.

Both of you clearly do not understand how the laws of probability works, and you are then using that failing to understand simple mathamatics to justify your conspiracy theory that somehow PA is out to get you.  Face it, both of you and I are not that important that PA is going to select any of us to be favored or cursed.  In reality the problem is you are ignoring all the good RNG you are getting elsewhere and not realizing that.  I would be willing to bet that you have not noticed any of the times while grinding that you were getting 1-4 trash loot and got 4 trash loot 10 times in a row, which breaks almost probabilities.  I am willing to bet that you didn't notice when you got blackstone weapons from all 7 mobs in a pack even tho they were supposed to be a 1 in 10 chance to get a black stone.

You can't go, well I failed here last time, since I have a 90% chance for it to go this time it will go.  No it is likely to go but you still have a 10% chance at failure, 10% is 10%.

BDO doesn't have a "heavily monetized RNG" system.  You are starting from a false premise to begin with, then using bad data from there.

The enhancement system is heavily monetized. What are you on about? It has been since they introduced costume melting.

You can enhance by buying costumes,  you don't have to.

I just want to add one more thing here. To that guy in this thread who actually accused me of being "racist"  posting about Nexon being Korean and possibly other Korean companies doing the same shady practice...I mean does this IDIOT actually know WTF the word RACISM actually means?  I am ethnically Korean as well.  So, Nexon is based in SOUTH KOREA and is one of the biggest gaming companies there.  Being who they are, they will have quite a BIG influence on other gaming companies as they all literally know each other.  I mean South Korea isn't exactly a BIG nation.  I mean is this guy just a WOKE RETARD or something to actually accuse me of being racist for saying what the KOREAN FTC (FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION) has said during their own investigation?  RETARD is all I have to say about that individual.

As for the people here doubting if BDO might be doing the same practice.  Look, don't believe me.  Up until this morning before I watched ForceGaming's stream on this topic and doing my own research, I didn't have any problems with playing BDO.  As I said, I didn't even care that I failed those 5 TET to PEN attempts thinking it was just bad luck and I would grind and try it again at a later time.  BUT NOW, I am suspect of these Korean gaming companies manipulating their RNG percentages to gain more $$$ through manipulating their playerbases.  This is what I cannot stand nor will I tolerate.  NO GAMER SHOULD.

I would like Pearl Abyss to get on their ass to address this issue as I believe this is going to be a HUGE issue in South Korea going forward.  This might actually BE the reason whey NCSOFT in Throne and LIberty decided to do away with all RNG LOOT BOXES.  It makes sense now why they did it if their own KOREAN LAW is cracking down on this heavily.

I have a challenge for all who read this. For the next 3 months just pay attention to everyone in your guild. You will notice how some people are infamously favored to succeed enhancements. While others are just completely SoL when it comes to enhancement.

I legit watched someone from my old guild at around the release of Manos. Successfully enhance 17 out of 20 TET Manos accessories, got 7 Vells Hearts, and 4 Garmoth Hearts. All in a 30 day period, they was so innately blessed that when they finally failed 2 times back to back, they asked us "Is failing so normal in this game?" Not even 2 weeks later they never logged into BDO again.

Had another person in the last guild I was in total 12 Garmoth heart drops and like 6 Vells heart drops.

Had another person failed a TET Urugons attempt with a 293 FS. And went on to fail everything else.

It's pretty much blatantly clear to anyone actually paying attention that the enhancement chances are not only dynamic, but is also based off a percentage of a percentage so that "Plausible Denibility" clause can be levage.  There is a reason why this company relentlessly attack anybody who datamines their game.

Games like this should be monitored by an agency like casinos, because they use the same tactics if the casinos could get away with it.

oof

Also, think about OP that has failed 5 attempts, apparently got really sweaty, quoted 1 incident for another company, watched a guy on youtube, and relabeled ALL that as "research", to call out PA publicly, on a post with a name that predicts the end of the world.

This is his 15 minutes of fame. Not your show.

On a more serious and friendly note now, guys be careful overall on how you phrase things, this could be considered as defamation. ( Carrying indirect accussations without actual research basis or proof )
