Not playing since is more like it.

I last played actively in 2021 so getting back into the game now is a trip and I am now a bdo boomer that doesn't know anything anymore. But I hated enhancement before and I still do now. Especially accs because you can't protect your item which is utterly stupid.

Unless you're lucky the correct thing to do is engage with enhancement as little as possible and just hoard silver to buy gear off the market from bored turbo's that are tapping on things waiting for more content to be added into the game. PA makes enhancement miserable because it milks swipers. That's why the game always runs off of "free stuff" events.

Now with seasons being constant you see tuvala timmies running into a very sheer grindwall where they look up a guide for what to do next only for some delusional addict 10k hours player to be like "ok your next upgrade costs 100 bil"

At the very least, please raise the max price cap on base debos so that people are incentivized to sell them to market more often. We have this massive silver inflated economy but what do we use our silver for? My orders for earrings go unfulfilled, and the silver sits uselessly. Why would I even buy pearl outfits for crons when I have nothing to tap?

I'd rather pay 10 billion silver for each base debo earring, and help some other player get rich for grinding places I dont want to, while I casually grind places I do like grinding, if it meant I could get them reliably whenever I could afford to.

Ash Forest & Crypt felt fine. These spots had packs in rotations. I could fight, then if needed I could step aside, swap character, multitask, come back, keep grinding at my own casual and sustainable pace at any time of day or night. Dehkia Oluns requires a group with matching schedules, and Dehkia Hystria/Aakman have absurdly low dropchances and also have the exhaustingly relentless "never-ending waves of enemies" mechanic that is so mind-numbing. If I need to step away for even 1 minute I have to pause the lantern and waste dozens of charges.

I wish I could progress on my Debo Earring goal without having to chain myself to the dehkia prison. I want to go back to for example Darkseeker Retreat where you can grind on a hillside with a view of mountains and even the sea, and stand between packs and stretch and check an email for a minute without jeopardizing your grind. But why bother? I cant use the silver from that spot until I have more base debos, and I can only get more base debos in spots I dislike.

Easier to log out... I don't mean to sound overly dramatic. It's OK to just take breaks from the game sometimes. It'd sure be easier to motivate to go grind right now, though, if it was more fun to get earrings.

I've just started in on the elvia spots. Got 272 ap tet BS and its been fairly fun. I had probably a few hundred hours just blasting away at sulfur mines because most of your silver was tax free trash there and it had been a long time since I actually fought monsters that could conceivably kill me. Learning about cups and all the daily's you do there is pretty neat. I'm halfway there on the infinite pot because I hate that the game is incentivizing you to just hoard silver and buy upgrades.

In between I'll tag a character and get it to 60 or 61 to break up the monotony, lifeskill and relax a bit etc

I do wish lifeskilling made more money but that's another topic. I think that the game lessened the money wall a lot to get established in the game which is good. W changes how you don't need to throw down $300 or more to grind without inconvenience. But they hiked up the grindwall exponentially where you're just smacking your head against the wall for a LOT of hours getting no more powerful in the meantime for the effort you're putting in until you can anticlimactically buy that upgrade off the market. That sucks to grind at a spot where you make zero dollars and zero cents because you need every single debo you can get your hands on to tap. And tapping accessories is pain. Terrible horrible awful no good very bad design. Blow up your entire weeks worth of play time in a few minutes.
