Region: NA

Comments/Suggestions: I think it'd be really cool to have vampire race or classes in the game. Have both male and female variations with different playstyles. Obviously they would be have sunlight immunity due to various reasons (alchemy, enchantments, or lore reasons). You could have them come from another world or something. They could be drawn to this world due to the 'Prophecy of the Black Sun.' Complete with a new story and zone based around it shrouded in thick eerie fog. An area of vampires where shadows dwell, night reigns, mysteries lie, rampant blood magic, dark rituals, and political intrigue. The playable vampires could be more neutral. Valkyrie could be sent by the College to investigate the area and have unique quests or dialogue. You could possibly also release a male priest or paladin to go with it (as priests of Elion). This would offer up something different and unique to do in the game, it'd also be the perfect area to hang out during Halloween. Have the aethstetics and architecture based off of Transylvania (zone). Filled with gothic structures (castles, towns, graveyards, crypts, and tombs). Maybe have gargoyles in the area along with large packs of Direwolves and Werewolves to defeat in grind zones. The vampire classes would have a unique grab skill animation (feed) which would have a small chance of healing a portion of their overall health. It would obviously need to be tweaked as to not be OP or be too weak to where it's useless. Or have a Feeding Animation Social Interaction for npcs (similar to 'steal') that would heal your character but you'd risk gaining negative karma and losing amity. They could use the blood they collect from various creatures as sustenance instead of food (food buffs and exp). Some blood would be better than others by providing better buffs. Customization options: Color wheel options for eyes (and glowy effects), skin, makeup, and tattoos. Vein options in makeup or face tattoo, smeared blood on the mouth in lipstick, and the addition of FANGS! If you make one of the vampire classes an evasion class have the skill work similar to Woosa, but with bats rather than butterflies. They'd be able to interact with npcs like any other class due to the 'bewitched' passive ( a type of glamor or compulsion passive). They'd have a passive called 'undead' which would grant them fall damage immunity and unlimited breath (in the water only as vampires can't drown). Maybe they could have better buffs during the nighttime hours.

Bonus Suggestion: If possible maybe make vampirism 'contractable' so you wouldn't have to necessarily come out with a new class. Similar to Elder Scrolls. Have it as a separate skilltree or passives that change the effects of certain skills. Or for female have it be unlockable for Lahn, Sorceress, Nova, and Dark Knight only as it would fit them the best. You'd just have to add the vampiric customization options for them and make some of their skills more vampy looking. Whilst still releasing a male counterpart. A Shadow Knight or Blood Knight type for male would fit best. Followed by necromancer or bloodmage. Sell vampire themed items in Pearl Shop (outfits, furniture, ect.). For feeding either have it as a grab or PvE only on humanoids. For PvE; feeding could give a random buff (similar to food but random) as well as replenish some of your health. Maybe you could even feed on townsfolk (npcs), but by doing so you'd gain a good bit of negative karma. Feeding would have to be implemented in some form as that's a constant thing in ALL vampire lore. Undead creatures who feed off of blood from the living. Whether it's feeding from enemy humanoids via feeding animation/skill or drinking blood you gather from various creatures in the game...

Unleash your inner vampire, child of the night!

None of the artwork is mine!

Yeah, if they just made a few vampire outfits for Sorceress, she'd perfectly fit the vampire model.

The only thing to me that would really stand out in a Vamp class and make it needed is if they could completely transfrom into a bat and fly for 30 seconds.  Useful for jumping off cliffs and having some fun.

Well, that's why in my bonus suggestion I said Sorceress or Lahn for female. All they'd need to do is add vampiric effects and release vampiric looking outfits. Change sorceress skill 'Mark of Shadow' to look more like a vampiric blood drain ability. Make it flashier. Their evasion abilities would be to transform into a cloud of bats (similar to Woosa with her butterflies). Male however would be a brand new class, because guys don't have any dark mage type class available. It'd still be neat if they added glowy eyes in character creation (with color wheel), vein options in makeup or tattoos, a paler skin tone (or again color wheel), with the addition of fangs. It'd also be really neat if they'd release vampiric furnature for your homes (victorian goth style as well as coffins you could sleep in rather than beds, cool gothic canopy beds for those who don't like coffins) along with other vampiric themed items in the Pearl Shop. Pet bats would also be really neat! As would wolves. I think they had wolves available for a short period of time when Archer was released.

Id like a vamire class... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kLSvyni_9s

I Feel like while that game (Diablo immortal) is lame. The idea of a "Blood Knight" basically a dark paladin like themed class, centered around vampiric abilities would be so sick in BDO. We could even get a FULL vampire zone and dark area for it, like imagine a dark and foggy chunk of the map with casltes and all sorts of themed areas?

A man can dream...

Oh man that'd be cool! An even darker and more gothic version of O'draxxia. Really thick fog and swamps. Towering European Gothic structures (homes, villages, castles, and crypts). Dead trees, large groups of bats, crows, and ravens. Kind of like Hex. Maybe large packs of wolves (maybe werewolves for grind zone) along with gargoyles, hostile vampires, and other various monsters. Foreboding atmosphere and music. A haunting, sinister vibe that borders on horror. Pretty much a BDO version of Transylvania. It'd be the perfect zone to quest in during Halloween. The vampires could have come through a portal to this world due to the prophecy of the 'Black Sun.' They could be Hadum worshippers. Or the Black Goddess. Pretty much BDO version of Lilith (Lilit-Witcher). I think they're often refered to being one and the same (Hadum, Thornwood Goddess, and the Black Goddess), but it depends on culture and the different races and perspective. Or they could have experimented with the Black Spirits to unlock their potential as well as unlock the secrets of immortality (similar to Caphras) and were cursed. Regardless, I'm sure they could come up with an explaination for vampiric classes. Necromancer class would fit right in along with Blood Knight. So you'd have a male version of Sorceress (Necromancer) and male version of Nova and Dark Knight (Blood Knight).

Of course it'd be even cooler if you could contract vampirism, like in Elder Scrolls. Doing so would unlock a new set of passives. Or it could be a special questline exclusive to Sorceress, Lahn, and possibly Nova and Dark Knight. They'd also be weaker against Valkyrie (holy/spiritual powers). There could be a story involving them as well. Give the Valkyrie a chance to shine for once (story-wise).

Gonna say no to vampires, they would be a useless class that can't do anything 3/4ths of the time because vampires instantly die in sunlight.

Look wise I like vampires, gameplay wise they seem like they would be a useless class lorewise.

It honestly depends on lore. In a realm where magic exists, I'm sure they could come up with a lore-friendly explanation for how they're able to walk in the sunlight. Anything from achlemy to enchanted jewelry. Or it could simply be that Black Desert's version of vampires aren't bothered by the sun. They merely dislike it due to being nocturnal and maybe feel a slight discomfort during daylight hours, without affecting gameplay. After all not all vampires were affected by the sun in Elder Scrolls. They could do that here.

Another thing you have to realize is that you are asking a KR company to make the hero class out of essentially the Chengi.  If you do the LOML quest line they have a similar creature to Vampires, the night tigers are basically the same thing.  It is rather tone deaf to ask a KR game developer to make a necromancer, vampire, or any other undead type into the hero of a story.  It just doesn't fit culturally.

Um you do realize Valkyrie aren't Korean in origin either yet they have those. Also last I checked Hashashin is middle Eastern so also not Korean. Which would mean it doesn't technically fit their culture either. Same with sorceress, her lore fits the west more than the east. Last I checked elves are also based off of European lore. The elves in this game are based off of the Fae of the 'Summer Court' and the 'Winter Court.' Also known as 'Seelie,' which is scottish by the way. Would you like me to continue in pointing out all the ways in which you are wrong? It's not tone deaf to ask a gaming company to add certain things or to branch out a bit.

Most of this game is based off of European lore and mythology. Even the architecture is mostly European. The only area in the game that feels asian is the Land of the Morning Light. Which is honestly stand alone content. As I've also stated in a previous post they could have come from another world. They wouldn't be the first class to do that. They've made it quite clear that there are other realms out there. Which would allow for a wide variety of races and classes in the future. For a game that has cartoonish talking animals (foxes, rabbits, tigers, even turtles as well as talking bamboo plants), I don't think asking for European archetype vampires (minus the whole weakness to the sun bit) is too outlandish.

It's not about where the lore was from, it is about the fact that the specific ask is highly offensive to the culture as a whole.  While Valk and Hash are from other cultures, they do not have counterparts that are offensive to treat as the good guy.  The KR culture views vampires like the ugly dracula before hollywood made them into pretty heroes over the past 30 years.  I realize you really like the Twilight movie but that is not how the non western world views vampires.  The entire ask is repulsive, and a waste of time to ask.  I am trying to help you see that your request is a waste of time, not because it is a bad idea but because the people you are asking would just be offended the moment you asked.

As for "most of the area is based on Europe" no it is not.  They took real world areas and put them in black desert.  They stories have been westernized and the looks have been westernized.  Valencia city is a real place in spain.  Velia is in Greece, Heidel is in Germany, They look very similar to their in game depiction.  Thing is none of those places are offensive to the KR culture.
