Greetings,

I'm currently trying Scholar, and one thing that really struck me was the difference in power between the passives of scholar and some of the old classes.

I went and checked all the classes and I think it would be nice to try to make them a bit more in line with eachother.

Here is a small list of the class passives. I didn't include Prime passives or innate mechanics such as Drakania regen of Nova debuffs :

Warrior : 20 DP + 300 HP + 10% attack speed
Sorceress : 10% Evasion + 100 stamina + 5 AP
Ranger : 5 AP + 300 stamina + 10% movespeed
Berzerker : 20 DP + 5% accuracy + 30% grapple rate + 250 HP
Tamer : 150 stamina + 5% accuracy + 50 HP + 25 LT
Musa and Maewha : 10 AP + 10% evasion + 5% crit rate + 15% ignore KBR
Valkyrie : 10% casting speed + 20 DP + 300 HP
Wizard and Witch : 10% casting speed + 30 AP
Ninja and Kuno : 10% evasion + 10 AP + 10% attack speed
Dark Knight : 10% crit damage + 5% accuracy + 150MP + 300 stamina
Striker and mystic : 20% crit rate + 20 DP + 30% grapple rate + 10% evasion
Lahn : 10% attack speed + 5% accuracy + 150 HP
Archer : 10 AP + 5% accuracy + 10% movespeed
Guardian : 10 AP + 10% crit damage + 5% resist
Hashashin : 20 AP + 5% attack speed + 150 MP + 300 stamina
Nova : 600 HP + 20 DP
Sage : 5% accuracy + 10% casting speed + 20 AP
Corsair : 10 AP + 10% evasion
Drakania : 10 AP + 10% crit damage
Woosa : 150 HP + 10 AP + 300 Stamina
Maegu : 10 AP + 10% evasion + 300 stamina
Scholar : 20 DP + 10% accuracy rate + 20 AP

While some old classes have very decent passives such as Witch, Wizard, Warrior, Striker or Mystic, some of them are completely lacking.

If we compare Tamer and Scholar, Scholar somehow get twice the accuracy of Tamer despite having much higher base accuracy on spells (Around 5% for Tamer and 10% for Scholar), but scholar also gets 20 DP and 20 AP while Tamer only gets 50 Hp and 150 stamina.

Bringing some of the worse passives like Tamer and Ranger to be more in line with Scholar or Witch could help these classes be a bit more in line with their identity while also leaving the possibility to nerf spell damage later on in case the passive buffs are somehow too much.

How about this? /shameless

You are conflating Sucesssion and Awakening passives into one. Also, i warmly recommend looking at each class' base stats to understand beter why some classes receive some passives before you even start thinking about the skill passives' balance.

For example, you are stating that [Succession] Sorc has +5 AP, when in fact it has 10 less than the average in the game [the lowest in the entire line-up, lower than shai]. Also, the stamina doesn't help a bit when your stamina movement costs double than any other class in the game.

But yeah, passives need to be revisited, Class stats equalized and the Class-vs-Class table removed if this game wants to have any future balance. Passives that just make a class function normally (ie. Sage Casting Speed) should just be baked into the animation speeds themselves rather than be a stat that they gain. And hopefully, passives would move into a customizable category like the post I linked above.

In reality, they don't want balance because fotm sells more costumes [according to their metrics*].

*even though they'd probably sell more with fair practices, not that PA would know what those are.
