Simple suggestion: Please add cardinal directions to the minimap. This may sound tiny, but for nodewar guilds this is revolutionary. It is incredible how often people forget their cardinal directions during nodewar. It would help increase accessibility for players and also allow me to finally get rid of the sticky note on my monitor... Thank you!

No, please do not more clutter to the mini map.  We have enough useless information on there.  If you can't figure out which way is UP, I suggest learning.

Make it toggleable, but yes please. Also fifth compass point for weast.

I think this is a nice idea and would help a lot of players. Being able to have a quick glance rather than think about it would be helpful in war, especially. They are on the world map, so I don't see why not on the minimap. However I would have to agree that it should be toggleable. 
I'd also like to mention that you can change a setting to get your minimap to rotate with you, which helps you see your cardinal directions, too.

Shoot, I'd even like some sort of numeric heading indicator, and/or compass rose markings. Of course optional: make it associated with compass use.  That's what compasses do.  What is accomplished by intentionally refusing to provide basic navigation tools?  Especially now that there is autopathing in the desert and ocean.
