In your life Stats  why not make one that adds you combat and all your lfe skills so you can see how you stack up to everyone else I know there are people that only do one life skill. But why not make a Stat that show how you do  overall to everyone in you channel by adding all your life skills and your combat because there are people that do everything not just one thing.

There already is a stat, it's called Family Fame.  It adds your Combat, Life, and Special fame.

You can not see how you rank vs other players with that number tho.

It shouldn't be channel specific it should be Region wide, you should be able to see the top 100 in region and then what number you are at.

So you have someone who is rank 1 combat and rank 100 lifeskill.   And another person who is rank 100 combat and rank 1 lifeskill.  That means they're somehow equal?  Not sure what we're getting at here.

Are you just asking for a leaderboard based on Family Fame??
