Last time I quit for 1-1.5 years and when I came back, the devs had fixed 2 things (Magnus changes were welcome, even though they were late and annoyingly implemented, as usual).

This time, I was gone for 9-12 months, and the only thing I cared about and can tell they improved was to auto-focus the search box when opening NPC/Item search - something I had complained about for years.

The ongoing itemization/stone changes seem to be nice, but they need to do this for literally every system in the game, and they needed to do it 3 years ago.

The game crashes more than ever before (7950X3D & 4090). FPS jumps from <40 to >120 when not moving. Vsync is still forced on. Auto-launch in the launcher still does nothing. Equipment progression is a joke. Upscaling is still locked to AMD cards. Crystal system is worse (i.e. more predatory) than ever before. More horizontal progression systems that I will never touch got added - whoop-de-do. The economy is still a facade. Capotia, although it made me more powerful personally, was a huge failure for the game, imo.

I have 4666.4 hours according to Steam. I have never "hit up a grind spot". I never engaged with the RNG equipment upgrade system. Sold all marketable mats and bought all upgrades I own. I have 6600 cron stones and 100+ advice of valks (from 10 to 100) that I will never use. I am uninstalling with the free hammer (worth almost 2x my entire account, btw) sitting in my inventory.

A sandbox isn't fun when half the sand can't be used to make a castle. These devs do not mesh with my brain - I would never buy them a beer.

I don't really care, just yelling into the void before I uninstall. Have fun, y'all!
