Hi can someone please tell me how to see durability now ?

Since the last patch i cant see when my tools are used up and he gathers without full mastery.

Right now i keep my inventory open so i see when my tools are used up. This is insane, i dont think this is the way it should be. 

Cant find any info on patch notes. Is there an icon where u can tur in on/off like with the furniture/cooking utensils ?
