This could be for resources and mobs so say I interact with an ash tree now I have information that ash trees are in that area or if they don't want that information to be an unlock thing, you type in ash tree and can see where they are. Like having a tracker thing that highlights the map similar to the territory resource information (which I still don't understand the use of, so some of these features could be explained better somewhere...) and similar buttons in the top right corner of the map or allowing autopathing to the nearest area with that thing.
This could also just be built-in search of things people just google anyways in general, but just set as a reminder. I should also be able to type in wolf in the search bar, it shows me all the wolves, and I can click on them and see where they are or where I've seen them based on how PA wants it to be implemented idk.
Could tye that in with crafting notes as well, which could also use some work tbh, but maybe that should be its own post?
Hi there, its a great idea to implement this in the game so we dont have to use third party tools to get that info.
However, just for your information, as i see your account is still fairly new: There are indeed currently third party tools where you can look up these things.
E.g. on https://garmoth.com/grind-tracker/best-grind-spots you can search for Items, and then use the scroll menu to find the item you are looking for and compare spots.
Similarly, on both https://bdocodex.com/us/item/721003/ and https://bdolytics.com/en/NA/db/item/721003 you can look up an item and see all the mobs that drop it. Or the mobs at a specific spot. Or where to get a specific mob knowlege etc.
So if you have a specific thing you are currently looking for, this can already help you. Otherwise, nice suggestion.

Yes, I am fully aware of these things, but thanks for suggesting those for any lurkers that might need it. This may be a new account, but I started playing with BDO's initial release. I lost my account when they switched to self-published as my account was tied to an email that was not accessible. I also played on console for awhile, so I have had a "fairly new" account three times with only the first time being the actual case.
My entire suggestion is just to make it easier to track all of these things without needing to alt tab or anything. I have the game on one monitor and the helpful websites in a browser on another, but there are a lot of single monitor only people that have to use their phone or struggle and this would be good. Also serves better to help new players find information and less likely to feel overwhelmed.
