If I stop my ship then how will i get close enough to barter with the ship node? You do know that you have to come up on some of the ship Node on a certain side to get them to work so you do not get to pick witch side you have to get close to.
Are you referring to the special barter nodes in Margoria? Also you don't have to go in straight, you can pass the special barter nodes, and not T bone the ship.
As I said, the 500+ wind speeds only exist in Margoria (the ocean area with no compass use).
You were very unclear when you intially posted. So no, backing up might not work, but passing instead of going straight into the ship works well since you can continue to go forward and not have to back up at all.

well it was only a suggestion and it was just to stop people ship getting stuck and have to jump off Ship when doing Bartering at the open ocean at the Ship and have a monster show up while your trying to move your ship. Other guilds have been stuck on them as well I know they can do it because they do it now slowing the winds down but on some it does not.

I have never encountered this problem, and I have never seen winds push against you do anything other than slow you down, never push you back. Are you sure you have your sails down?
