Records about the Forbidden Alchemy
This can be obtained by following the main quest. This knowledge unlocks on the quest Memorial Service for the Fallen People. For this quest you need to go to Cron Castle Node Management and interact with it for 10 energy, then it will teleport you to the top of the tower to interact with the black cloud to continue the quest. 

At the End of the Power

This can be obtained by following the main quest. This knowledge unlocks on the quest Life-risking Infiltration. To complete this quest you will need to go to Heidel Castle to find the book. You get to this location by running to the big throne room and then left into the little room pictured here:
Afterwards, find the Ghost in the Cron Castle Cave. Note that the Ghost only appears after night in-game.
