My suggestion for a blackstar sub weapon would be a kutum but with DR instead of evasion.

A nouver based blackstar would make nouver obsolete, it's not worth investing in 10% resists over extra monster damage.

A kutum based blackstar would obviously make kutum obsolete.


But one with DR instead of evasion stats, maybe + extra monster DR aswell.

It would make newer players be able to reach high DR and gain access to higher end grindspots faster where mobs hit harder, while at the same time not making either kutum or nouver obsolete.

BS is DR based, so there is a good chance that it will be DR.

Though the amount of DR you could put to that is rather low(without makign it better in PvP than nouver), so they may just copypaste kutum with soem extra monster DR.

How will Kutum and Nouver become obsolete when tet bs weapons don't make main and awe not obsolete, there is still a benefit of caphras over BS

I'm still hoping they will just unify the boss weapon off hands, by making a conversion process into FG...just like they did with Dim Tree and Red Nose armors into FG. It just feels dumb having a pvp off hand and a pve off hand currently.  I'm hoping the same thing for awakened weapon too...that eventually everyting goes to FG.  It currently feels like our gear is mismatched when looking at item rarity colors.  Feels like the same as wearing blue and green gear on some pieces with boss gear on other pieces.

TBH I think they should change current Kutum to Blackstar and change Kutum to be an accuracy offhand, we're talking 118 accuracy so it's superior to the current accuracy offhands.  Make the new blackstar be 2 more Sheet AP and 15% more monster Damage.  Making Blackstar into the Accuracy or DR version wouldn't work due to thematics.

Because Kutum is currently high Monster damage, right now Blackstar is high monster damage.  If Blackstar has high monster damage, Nouver stats, one or both of those other 2 will be useless.  The only way Blackstar could be useful and not kill Kutum is if it had massively higher monster damage, with high monster DR but little to no AP, even then it would probably kill Kutum if you could get over 269 Blackstar.
