22 classes and only 9 of them are male. Please fix this. I do not like or choose to play as female characters. I know "feminism" is a thing but it really shouldn't be video games. Equality is always nice. Even if it cost more to add a few more lines of code to make each class where you can choose male or female then Atleast make it where you make each class male and female classes. Make it equal.

The ironic part is that what you want (wrote here) is what feminism would want :D

Btw it's not a few lines of code. They would need to modell and animate the other counterpart for every class and their outfits. It would take them atleast a year amount of effort for basically zero return of value.

i agree - i dont play female classes; if i could choose a male character for each class - i would in a heart beat - that would mean i dont mind BUYING character slots.  but i REFUSE to play female classes and until it changes - i WONT play a female character

Well, honestly, I'd be shocked if the current gender distribution had anything to do with feminism. If that were their angle, you wouldn't have so many revealing outfits for sale, and most feminists would likely be pushing for an equal gender distribution anyway. Also, in general, you're not going to get a feminist attitude from an Asian company.

Rather, PA knows that the majority of their playerbase is male, and a lot of them are interested in playing women wearing sexy outfits (and of course, PA wants to sell outfits). So, they're actually catering to the men by having all of these female classes. They do of course also have male classes, and they have outfits which are not particularly revealing for those who want something more conservative, but given that it's the female classes that a lot of the players want, it would likely not be in PA's best interest to try to move things more towards an equal number of male and female classes. At most, I would expect them to release them more evenly going forward, but really, I would expect that they'll continue to release classes with more or less the same gender distribuation that they have been, because it's aimed at what makes them money.

As for making it so that classes can be either male or female, that would create a lot of extra work for them and would not fit well with how they sell outfits. I mean, they even lock the shape of each class down pretty thoroughly so that the range of bodies that a given class can have is extremely limited, making it easier for them to design the clothes and animations. It also would be somewhat problematic with some of the classes where the gender of the character affects the story (though I expect that that's a side effect of them making the classes gender-locked rather than having anything to do with why they gender-locked them). Allowing classes to be either gender is a request that comes up often enough that maybe PA will eventually consider making it so that classes are not gender-locked, but considering how the gender-locking clearly makes life much easier for them and how the female classes and clothing are likely to make them more money anyway, I would be very surprised if they changed how they handled the genders at this stage.

4th wave feminism is all about being as slutty as they can, so oddly enough this is exactly what they want, or have you not been on Twitter, like ever?

That being said, I also don't think the outfits have anything to do with Feminism either, but it has to do with what the Korean and Asian cultures like, remember BDO is a Korean IP, we can request all we want, but we won't get anything other than what we currently have for outfits.

This is not true actually.

They want fat, unhealthy, obese and ugly woman to dress slutty.

They don't want attractive ones to dress slutty, as that won't boost their ego, heck the opposite, it reminds them that they are in the trash tier..

But yeah it have nothing to do with that. In Asia people don't believe in mental degenerates, heck they actually use them as a laughing stock.

ONCE upon a time. Kakao game & PA worked together thus they said "let there be male & female version of each class", thus soon light shined upon them bringing male & female of each class, such as.
Warrior x Valk
Mystic x Striker
Beserker x Guardian
Wizard x Witch
Musa x Meawha

Ninja x Kuno

Ranger x Archer

But this path, which was little balanced but curved came to it's END. PA droven with the lust of wealth decided "let there me new class EVERY 3 months" which sounded exactly like "Satan: Take this apple & you will gain knowledge beyond ur immaginations".

Thus till this day new class kept releasing & releasing but the voices of light & balance remained unheard.
Sorc, lahn, Tamer, DK remained vergin without being able to be waifu of there dreamed man.

They say that there vergin souls still remain lingering in deapth of darkness... Every silent - Every still - Every Sad...
while unknow creatures keep coming in the world of black desert with there overpowered skill ablities.

Truely this is the saddest story u will every heard.

Amen...

I rather look at a female.  It is more pleasing to my eyes.  I know people like to RP.  I am not an RPer.  I treat my classes like I treat a toy, not as a virtual avatar of myself.

I, am now imagining my Sorc as a male.  And it's friggin' gross.  Get that outta here.  Sorc is perfect just the way she is.  Don't put a D on her.  Nasty.

Also, pretty sure Sage is Sorc counterpart.  Same off hand.  Similar archetype - mid-ranged caster, able to reposition in the thick of a fight with ease.
