The ability to post in color is okay when used to accent something, however when a poster makes their entire post in a bright color on a bright background some of us can't actually see the post due to being color blind, this is made worse when they change the background color .  SUCH AS THIS this shows up as a block of grey to me I don't even know if what I am typing is coming across correctly.   The example I just wrote is something that I am posting that I can not even see what was written, I can only guess that what I wrote was spelled correctly or if it even made sense.  I ask the forum moderators to at the very least remove the highlighter option from the forums, or delete any post that is only in one solid non standard color.  Despite being asked to stop posting in color because it makes it hard or impossible to read the posts, there are forum users that use the color option "to feel special".

Agree, this is yet another example of nice feature that is ruined because a few abuse it.

Well, I don't see much point in there being colored text, but I would point out that if you highlight the text with your mouse, it becomes legible.

Actually no it doesn't it helps but it doesn't fix it, it ends up being a block of grey with letters that are white in the center which is still very hard to read.

What I have to do with highlighted text is copy the text and then put it in the reply window, highlight it and turn the highlighter off and the text to black instead.

+1 . I am not colourblind, but it gets annoying at times. I don't even bother reading it too.

I guess that it depends on your browser and/or browser settings then. With the text you have here, I get blue text on a white background when I highlight it.

You get a blue text, I most likely also get a blue text, but red/orange/yellow/green/blue/purple all are grey to me.  White letters inside of a light grey box become almost invisible.  If the letters stayed Black inside of the light grey box, it would be slightly less difficult to read, but still would be closer to imposible than posible.

There's now several people abusing the color feature and being visual pollution to everyone.
