Hello jope2!

With this most recent update during last maintenance (June 5, 2024), life skill and fishing tools are able to be equipped by all characters on your account.
You can find out more information about this update HERE.
You no longer need to equip your own life skill or fishing tools, but I highly recommend it.
1. To put your fishing rod and/or float in your shared equipment, press (i) to bring up your Inventory and Equipment menu.
2. Click the hoe icon on the top right of the Equipment menu, as pictured below.

3. Equip your fishing rod and/or float.

4. After that, you can go to a body of water and press the crossed swords icon in the top right below your HP/MP/Black Spirit Rage. The icon is pictured and circled below.

When you click the icon, 2 more icons will pop up - one for fishing and one for harpooning

5. Press the fishing icon and you will be swapped to your fishing rod and/or float.
6. Press the space bar to initiate fishing.

✨ Alternatively to clicking the icons above, you may hold down the (') apostrophe key on your keyboard and select fishing mode. You select it by pointing with your mouse while holding down the apostrphe key.


Optional, but suggested: Check the box that says "Do not board other adventurers' ships". If you desire, select what grade of fish you would like to omit.

To stop fishing, press RMB.
To swap back to your weapons, click the fishing icon in the top right corner below your HP/MP/Black Spirit Rage bars.
Click the crossed swords.

Or, again, alternatively, you may hold down the apostrophe key and select the crossed swords with your mouse.
