I am aware that this transfer has caused a few issues, and I have tried to dig up any information about my problem but in vain. Sorry if it's a known problem - I am at a loss.
I have already transferred my account at the beginning of the month and today I have downloaded the new launcher and I took the novice package as well (which got rid of my ''You do not have permission'' issues).
However, when I now launch the game and press start, I get the prompt to create a new family name, as if I didn't have one at all (as opposed to when I had the Kakako launcher, which dropped me straight to the character menu ofc), yet when I try to re-transfer, the site tells me I already created a family.
I had three characters and the thought of losing them, obviously, does not sit well with me.
Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem? I'd really appreciate the help because I really don't know what to do.

I don't even get that option to choose the server in game (unless I can choose before starting the game up). As soon as it log on it asks me to put in a family name when I press start. Which doesn't make sense because I have a family name already and if my account data has already been transferred which I has set up on 1/28/21. I am open for suggestions for sure.
@Senteo I have not contacted support yet, kinda hoping to find any cause to this first and see if it can be fixed before I send in any messages. Although if nothing happens, it seems it'll be my only option. I'm really bummed about it.
@Mando I am not the only one then! But how come it's just us two? What you described, Mando, is exactly what I am going through as well and Gods, you have 10 characters, not only 3.
Also, as far as I know all I can do is select region (NA or EU) and not servers. Maybe that's what @Armante meant because I cannot see any other options to change anything besides region.
I don't want to get discouraged too fast so I'll see what can be done, but I feel that if I cannot get my characters back even through support, I'll have little motivation to play BDO again.
Did you use different email for your Pearl Abyss account than your Kakao email during transfer?
First thing I'll tell you to do is look up your old Family Name in Camping Grounds -> Adventurer. If you see yourself there along with all your characters, your account transferred over correctly. If not, then you can panic.
I'm haveing a similar issue, the first message I got was "You cannot transfer your account since your game data does not exist. You can transfer your account once you have created a character." but being unable to access the game via the old launcher, I used the new one to create a character (how else was I supposed to create player data?) I had to register a family name to even create a character, which is why (i'm assumeing) i'm now getting the "You have already created a Family" message when I attempt to complete the 3rd step and complete the transfer.
This whole process is a mess. There had to be a better way to transfer account info from the website as well as the game. I know they needed player consent to transfer our info...but that could have been easily done by sending out emails asking people to log into their account and check a box in their account settings agreeing to the transfer of info.
I have used the same email account throughout, never changed it. Thanks for the info about the Camping Grounds -> Adventurer. I checked and my family name is there and so are my characters so that is a good thing to know it has transferred successfully (thanks asdsadfas). So now the next step would be how can I get to the point where I can select them during the game like I use to as well as pick the server I used? Arctarhys I sent a support ticket on this like a few hours ago and haven't gotten a response yet.
If you selected Novice package it sounds like you created a new PA account but did not finish the transfer. So your old Kakao account is still not transfered. Contact support.
