I have found a bug when you create your character on your pc, using a tv screen on 4k resolution. This causes the text to become very distorted and hard to read.

1: make sure you are using a tv

2: set the resolution to 3840-2160 and the UI scale to 200

3: open up the character creation screen and select a class

P.S: although this is not the screenshot from steam, the actual steam screenshot does render the whole image allowing you to see the text properly.

If You would like me to provide extra information please do ask. I am also more than happy to strain my pc with tests if it helps to narrow down the problem.
