There are quite a few skills in BDO that are considered "pets". This includes all awakend mage flow skills, striker clone skills, certain tamer and sorc skills and more. The problem is that some skills have Super armors or Iframes for PvE but not PvP and it affects different skills differently.
For example, Nova's suction skill: An awakened mage's dash is a PvP SA on CD, but always a PvE iframe. But the SA takes precedence over the iframe so the first dash still gets the suction applied, but the second dash doesn't (Takes 2 dashes to get out of Nova suction).
But conversely...
Awakened Witch's Toxic flood or Awakened Wizard's Lava Field skill: Neither the burn, magic DP debuff, or even damage will be applied regardless of if the PvP side dash SA is up. You can effectively completely iframe the skill as if it were a mob.
The point being, in PvP the rules applying to pet damage (which isn't even limited strictly to pets) is pretty much arbitrary and has no rhyme or reason. I'm not familiar enough with other classes to know which ones have PvE iframes, which ones have PvE iframes + PvP iframes (CD), which ones have PvE iframes + PvP SAs and so forth, but at the end of the day I think it's crazy that PvE iframes even work at all in PvP considering some classes (awk mage) have around 30-40% of their damage coming in the form of pet damage. My suggestion? Just make pet damage normal damage. I really don't see why nearly 5 years into the game we're STILL dealing with AP capped pet damage and this sort of hidden stuff. It doesn't help that BDO recently introduced the "protection icon" that only shows PvP-only protection and makes it even more confusing as to what you can or cannot SA & iframe. Also some skills don't even properly list their PvE iframes... it IS an iframe, but the skill says nothing about it.
