Market for mats has been dead for like over year

There isn't enough open complaining about how you can't buy any mats on central market so I'll list out why its broken.

BDO Devs completely ignored law of supply and demand

  • Nerfing the energy method with wine reduced supply of gathered mats across the board, it already took forever and even with mastery it still takes like an entire hour to burn 400 energy gathering.
  • Prices brackets essentially don't drift upward unless somebody actually eats a loss selling at the current price or don't drop because somebody has to sell at the lowest price for it to drop. This causes nobody to ever sell because the price is too low and hundreds of thousands of people preorder the same thing but barely anybody sells.
  • Prices of component mats has no bearing on the products they craft into, causing massive price imbalances so nobody wants to craft items that are in demand because their raw mats how exceeded the price of the end product entirely.
  • Time is finite and bartering probably more efficient and requires less focus than the majority of lifeskills, this further reduces supply because barter doesn't generate supply it only contributes to demand for raw mats.
  • People that have huge piles of mats can't even be bothered to list them because the list limit is like 5000 and it requires u to shove it all into the warehouse.

Cron Meals and Draughts nullify like 80% of all recipes in the game

  • Making it so nothing can stack with them voids the purpose of any new elixir or food item they add to the game that cannot be crafted into a cron meal or draught.

For example elixir of Mastery is pointless because Verdure Draught does everything that it does but better and cheaper, and if u use it u can't stack anything on top of it anyway.

  • Food cooldown is still 30 mins for some reason but it doesn't matter because Cron meals last 2 hours and u can't stack anything with them anyway.
  • Due to the difficulty of acquiring mats in the first place basically no food that has a demand is ever sold because its more profitable to craft it into balenos meals or something and do imperial delivery which lets u sell them at an effective price of like 50k/each tax free.

What I think should be done

  • Make every elixir and food in the game stack (or at least most of them should stack), reduce CD of taking elixirs or eating down to like 5 seconds or maybe even 1 second. This will create some demand for literally everything, giving meaning to producing more niche items.
  • Increase price ceiling and increase the rate + magnitude of passive price drift, anything with like 700k POs should be 3x or 10x the price ceiling. Creates incentives to actually do activities like gathering that people won't do because they aren't rewarding at all.
  • Normalize VT of mats to 0.01 each and increase listing limit to like 20k or more. (what will I do with my 1 million figs at Shakatu?)
  • Add recipes for unused items or other methods of converting useless dead ends into useful things.

Fixing it would be really 200iq, they would need to get rid of the retarded market limits.

Or at least adjust them to realistic values, though that would actually require brain to do it. And a calculator...

 

Also pirces do move even if noone sell the item, if there are buy orders. Exchange do not need for the price to change.

or just go gather and craft the stuff urself?  honestly im confused  ive seen alot of mats now just sit on the MP that previously were never seen on there  and sure  some stuff prob sells alot quicker now cuz its more profitable to use it in another way.... just like u said people barter cuz its more profitable

but in the end  you could  you know... go gather and craft and cook and watnot the stuff u need yourself instead of waiting for preorders  its not that hard

Elixir of Mastery isn't useless when you need to stack different groups of elixirs, IE in hunting, You need an Attack Speed elixir and the Mastery elixir because you can't achieve +5 Attack Speed, +5 Crit, +5 Gather and +5 move speed if you are using a Venture draught.

This whole market manipulation is done purposly, because what will happen is that people will give their friends silver through the market.

 

Person A will tell their friend person B to list some common item, for say 1 billion silver. Person A paid either with IRL money, or just because they want to get their friend into the game will purchase said common item, and thus esentually allowing player trade to now be in the game.

 

They cant sell say PEN gear, or Vells heart for 1 silver to person B, cause its not guaranteed the friend will get it..but there are more then enough common items that person A can safely transfer to person B the value of what ever it is they wish.

 

Subscription based and Non p2w games dont care about this.

FACTS! Basically what it all boils down to is MONEY! If you are looking for a proper MMORPG economy you are going to have to play one the Non-P2W MMOs.
