hi guys
sorry for my bad english i am here to get some help from you :)
so i started to use crop mode in-game cause it gives me some extra fps and i am trying to set the exact size of the cropped size. i figured it out that in my pc documents folder there is an option txt file that i can modify to overwrite previous in-game settings. all good i could type in to make the crop window exactly to 1920x1080 (cause i have an 2560x1440 monitor and my rx 560 gpu can barely handle that resolution in bdo... anyway it is out of topic...) as i set the crop values to 0.75 and it was good worked until i logged in to the actual game (i mean the overwrited crop sizes worked in the main menu, character selection screen etc.) but as soon as i got into the game the crop windows went back to the default size.
so my question is that can i overwrite this txt file and prevent the game from overwrite it again as soon as i get back to the game? is there any way to do this? :) i hope you guys understand my problem (in a nutshell: i want to make the crop settings exactly to 1920x1080 without having to play with those sliders). thanks in advance!
My guess would be to make the file read-only after making modifications to prevent the game from resetting it to the default values (I forgot that this post is 1 year old)
My guess is that the base settings will stick if unchanged before you log in...However,
once you do log in, there is profile 1 and profile 2, which you can load from the main settings window with buttons on the right
(mouseover, they will tell you that they will load immediately those settings)
There are also 8 presets but you probably won't want to ever touch these if customizing perfectly what you want. keep in mind if you do, you will have none of your specific settings, just hte full settings for that preset
on the bottom left, from any sub settings menu, you can SAVE current settings (to reflect changes you have made) to profile 1 or profile 2
since you have 8 presets, but 2 custom settings, I bet there is an options setting text file in a sub menu , but i haven't looked yet
Anyone know if there's a way to disable crosshair by using that file? I want it gone. Wish PA made it possible to keep it enabled (always) enabled (combat only) and disabled as the 3 options.
I feel bad for people who use OLED monitors which are prone to burn-ins. Imagine having your UI burnt in after 10 mins of gameplay lol
