To bring Bartering on an even scale with other aspects of the game please consider any of the following. None of these suggestions are game breaking and its about time to stop throwing those who choose to do this content under the bus. See #17 as it is a must

1)  Drop the weight of all Barter items 100LT

2)  Add 50 more refresh points

3)  Add 1 or 2 more Crow Coin or ship mats daily quests at the Oquillas Eye

4)  Move Lekrashan and associated mobs closer to the Eye as its no longer worth traveling that distance as the quest is now located at Oquillas Eye

5)  Upgrade Lekrashan loot table to award a few Crow Coins or ship upgrade mats

6)  Add loot to Margoria Ghost ships as they are a waste of time

7)  Add storage expansion at Oquillas Eye

8)  Add Trade Manager at Oquillas Eye

9)  Decrease Barter refresh time by some reasonable amount

10)  Add Barter node at Oquillas Eye and surrounding islands

11) Add the ability to remove 1 item from ships hold and place in you personal inventory

12) Make Hakoven Barters a minumum of 100 Crow Coins

13) Add quest for Goldmont Battleships at Oquillas Eye

14) Add loot to Vell similar to Khan in smaller amounts

15) Decrease the amount of Moss Remover required to exchange map pieces to 1 instead of 3

16) Add small Lopter schools that have ability to drop lost trades goods  of variuos levels as random spawns throughout Margoria

17) MOST IMPORTANT Fix ships being stuck at Velia dock and many times only fix is to log out as you cant let go of the wheel. This has been going on for more than 2 years now and has been reported MANY times. This is a much needed fix for broken content.

1)  Drop the weight of all Barter items 100LT Would be nice, but in my limited time bartering, I can't really rank this as my highest concern

2)  Add 50 more refresh points Would be nice (especially for non-VP users), and this would allow for more instant refreshes so we can barter faster, 4 hr CD is already long enough if you don't want to do land content

3)  Add 1 or 2 more Crow Coin or ship mats daily quests at the Oquillas Eye More is better of course, I'd like to see more Crow Coin options for those who'd prefer to SMH over barter

4)  Move Lekrashan and associated mobs closer to the Eye as its no longer worth traveling that distance as the quest is now located at Oquillas Eye This may be less of an issue with the new continent. Crocs and Lek area currently suck to get to, but with a Magnus in Nampo, I think we have less pain getting there

5)  Upgrade Lekrashan loot table to award a few Crow Coins or ship upgrade mats In relation to #3, allowing SMH to compete with bartering in terms of CCs would be nice. Some of us build battleships for a reason

6)  Add loot to Margoria Ghost ships as they are a waste of time Yeah...love getting these while 3 crocs are chasing me, at least let them drop the same loot the Cox Pirate Ghost Ships drop from the main continent

7)  Add storage expansion at Oquillas Eye Would be a nice perk, but also, CP :(

8)  Add Trade Manager at Oquillas Eye This is a long shot suggestion, especially since they just butchered the Traders on land

9)  Decrease Barter refresh time by some reasonable amount Either this, or the increase in refresh points, both seem unlikely

10)  Add Barter node at Oquillas Eye and surrounding islands Could be nice

11) Add the ability to remove 1 item from ships hold and place in you personal inventory This sort of ruins the challenge of bartering and managing weight, can't say I agree. I like bartering partially because of the management of weight, feels good to get it right and still be efficient

12) Make Hakoven Barters a minumum of 100 Crow Coins Yeah, this. And about those 200 CC "special" barters..lol, I think I saw in the patch notes they are decreasing the chance those pop up by 50-60%? So it's a start

13) Add quest for Goldmont Battleships at Oquillas Eye Could be tied to additional CC suggestion you had

14) Add loot to Vell similar to Khan in smaller amounts Never did Khan, can't comment

15) Decrease the amount of Moss Remover required to exchange map pieces to 1 instead of 3 If they gave us additional ways to earn CC, this would be less of an issue.

16) Add small Lopter schools that have ability to drop lost trades goods  of variuos levels as random spawns throughout Margoria Would be a nice surprise mechanic, just don't make them knock us off the helm

17) MOST IMPORTANT Fix ships being stuck at Velia dock and many times only fix is to log out as you cant let go of the wheel. This has been going on for more than 2 years now and has been reported MANY times. This is a much needed fix for broken content.

I use escape when at Velia, puts me right near the Lopters, then call your boat over being enough distance from where it gets dropped. But yeah, needs to be fixed regardless.

Good suggestions, I don't neccessarily like making the game "easier", but adding additional ways to earn CC's through quests, grinding SM, would be nice compared to relying on bartering.

And if they actually try to rework the sea grind spots, they should also consider adding a pity system for the nol, just an idea but could add an item in the box that we could give to Ravvinia and each time she get one she reduce the price of the Nol by 1% or something like that... because seriously some people getting it below 5 boxes and others after 100 is just way too silly. Either do that or lower the mossy remover price by a lot so we can at least gather crow coin more eficiently in case our RNG is tr$%# and be able to buy in least than 2 years or add the mossy map drop to Lekrashan permanetly or consider adding it to their loot table when there is treasure event going on.

They should have added full maps to the map exchange box at Oquilla.  That box is a ripoff unless you have like 30 middle pieces to get rid of.

1)  Drop the weight of all Barter items 100LT

-- Not really needed, as you barter based on the weight you can carry. You'll simply finish bartering faster, increasing money/hour, but not per day.

2)  Add 50 more refresh points

-- Not sure that would do anything except for those people that don't use a VP.

3)  Add 1 or 2 more Crow Coin or ship mats daily quests at the Oquillas Eye
-- What problem is that solving? Just to get the ships faster?

4)  Move Lekrashan and associated mobs closer to the Eye as its no longer worth traveling that distance as the quest is now located at Oquillas Eye

-- As was pointed out, that problem goes away with the new continent.

5)  Upgrade Lekrashan loot table to award a few Crow Coins or ship upgrade mats

-- Most people doing Lek already have a carrack, so upgrade mats seem odd. Better loot might make it actually worth killing though.

6)  Add loot to Margoria Ghost ships as they are a waste of time

-- That is their point, to waste your time. They're simply an afk check now.

7)  Add storage expansion at Oquillas Eye

-- Can't hurt.

8)  Add Trade Manager at Oquillas Eye

-- Needed also for fishing, but with the recent changes, not sure what they're doing.

9)  Decrease Barter refresh time by some reasonable amount

-- Because of parley points, the timer should simply be removed.

10)  Add Barter node at Oquillas Eye and surrounding islands

-- I already don't even want to sail to the epheria side, let alone out to OE to barter. Big no from me.

11) Add the ability to remove 1 item from ships hold and place in you personal inventory

-- Plan better.

12) Make Hakoven Barters a minumum of 100 Crow Coins

-- Sure, why not.

13) Add quest for Goldmont Battleships at Oquillas Eye
-- Do you mean the Goldmont random spawn? I guess it could have a quest.

14) Add loot to Vell similar to Khan in smaller amounts

-- Different loot based on boats wouldn't be bad.

15) Decrease the amount of Moss Remover required to exchange map pieces to 1 instead of 3

-- Don't see the issue as it's for a treasure item.

16) Add small Lopter schools that have ability to drop lost trades goods  of variuos levels as random spawns throughout Margoria

-- Don't see the need, you could just have an alt for the chest event at OE.

17) MOST IMPORTANT Fix ships being stuck at Velia dock and many times only fix is to log out as you cant let go of the wheel. This has been going on for more than 2 years now and has been reported MANY times. This is a much needed fix for broken content.

-- It also happens at the Shakatu wharf and Outpost Supply Port.

I'd add:

18) Remove all the small rocks around islands whose only role is to stop boats. 20 Valors would realistically obliterate every one of them, so just assume they did and get rid of them.

19) Change the currents inland to be the 0 fast current on the major pathways people use.

20) Reduce the currents at the margoria sea grind areas to be 20 max.

21) Change tier 1 -> tier 2 and tier 2 -> tier 3 barters to always be 1:3. Restocking is one of the main problems with bartering, and just being unlucky for a week because of the limited numbers is a bad system.

22) Land mats -> tier 1 items need to be balanced. You can have one barter that would cost 2M while another is 7.5M. If it's too much to constantly change the requirements as prices change, remove them and just have us buy barter tokens at a flat rate that are used for the tier 1 barters.

I'd add:

18) Remove all the small rocks around islands whose only role is to stop boats. 20 Valors would realistically obliterate every one of them, so just assume they did and get rid of them. I suggested this exactly about a month ago, it's realism at it's finest

19) Change the currents inland to be the 0 fast current on the major pathways people use. Inland currents defintely are a pain, and seemingly broken. Moving with a low <20 current seems so negligible compared to being slowed by going against any amount

20) Reduce the currents at the margoria sea grind areas to be 20 max. Yeah, I think 20 would still make it somewhat of a challenge, doing any dense spot at higher currents just slows the grind down so much with repairing

21) Change tier 1 -> tier 2 and tier 2 -> tier 3 barters to always be 1:3. Restocking is one of the main problems with bartering, and just being unlucky for a week because of the limited numbers is a bad system. Asking for 1:3 seems like a long shot, 1:2 at least though, like how T3->T4 is.

22) Land mats -> tier 1 items need to be balanced. You can have one barter that would cost 2M while another is 7.5M. If it's too much to constantly change the requirements as prices change, remove them and just have us buy barter tokens at a flat rate that are used for the tier 1 barters. They just redid this and some exchanges still feel off, bloods come to mind. Wise mans, Legendary Beasts compared to Clowns or Tyrants aren't even close, even with the 10 or so less/barter. Those translucent crystals that you can only mine at one node, compared to the rest which are in abundance on the market.

The biggest improvement mentioned in this thread is the reworking of the barter points/timers. I think removing/reducing the cooldown is a far better improvement compared to increasing the number of points per day, targetting people who work (and have disposable income) and may only have 5-6 hours max to do barters. I know most things in this game are their to extend the amount of time you play the game, in days, not hours, so asking for something like this seems like a long shot, but it would remove a distasteful aspect of bartering which turns away a lot of players.

Hey PA, want to sell more 60$ Carrack skins? Let people get their ships faster? Let them get more carracks?

Unless they add Deborekas at special bartering, it's not worth it.

Thanks for the input as i feel any improvement would help. I do not understand why PA buffs other professions and thinks they really helped us by allowing us to do more barters per stop when they didnt reduce the item weight.  Any other ideas are welcome and maybe by some chance PA will pay attention to our thoughts.  They keep removing small things without saying anything.. They took the Tarde NPC from Racid in the last week or so. They didnt bring the one from Ratt as they said they would.  Ratt NPCs were supposed to move to Oquillas Eye BUT they deleted the trade NPC.  I chalk this up so some twisted master plan.. I swear they hate ocean content.

Can I add a couple quality of life ideas?

1. In the Manage Sailors window, add a way to sort the sailor list by the ship they are on.

2. Add a way to see the total ship durability while repairing a ship.

The trade lifeskill "revamp" was a massive "keep removing things". They keep trying to simplify the game for us, because we're stupid to the point all we can focus on is revealing outfits... or something.

And the masterplan is K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid). Less mechanics, less things they need to balance and playtest, fewer potential points of failure. If you look at everything they add to the game lately (and by lately I mean in the game's 2nd half of its existence) everything is bare bones. Capital cities are a few cabins and 3 tents with just a few residences Compare the grandious Valencia, the wild Altinova or the maze that Calpheon is... with that ramshackle of Eilton. Hell even O'draxxia isn't that magnificent either, even if there it's mostly the fact that with all the buildings in place, you barely have a few to visit and/or rent. In the last 2 regions they introduced there are no towns at all, barely any residences in nearby nodes. And most nodes are just a tent, a cabin, a pile of rocks. Bare bones.

All in all, they don't hate the sea content. They just don't care about it (or any other content) past finding a way to monetize it better (see the swap for trade item purchases requirement from mastery level to energy investment - and don't think for a second that it is made to lower the barrier to entry for new traders). They'd have to have a team dedicated to designing, improving, testing each area of the game. And they don't. They don't even have a good team to create their outfits (if the last few releases - the rigid Secrua, the clipping Twilight Prowler or the floating textures Moonlit Silver - are anything to judge by). They literally seem to barely afford to keep the game at large in maintenance mode, if they ever focus on smaller - or older - content.
