I think it is time to revive Open World PVP. Let's allow people who want to kill each other to do it without penalties.
Here is what I thought of:
Add a singular PVP Faction (Main point, please like the post if you like the idea. Everything else is debatable)
- Place a NPC in each major City
- Players can join/leave this PVP Faction at will by interacting with the NPC
- Members of this faction can kill each other without penalties (no Karma loss, Crystals, etc.)
- Member status should be visible by some kind of icon on the nameplate
- Members get for example a passive drop rate buff, similarly too Arsha (risks should be rewarded)
General PVP changes:
- changes on the Karma system are not needed, but appreciated
- disable death penalty if killed by monster while cc by PVP interaction (stop feeding people)
- decrease karma cost of killing if killing someone consecutively
- add a delay to increasing karma cost when changing gear of 1h (this should stop karma bombing)
Respawn Changes:
- this applies to PVP faction
- (optional: applies to all players)
- disable Resurrection with Elion's Tear/Blessing if killed by a PVP interaction (this should prevent endlessly harassing someone)
- each time you respawn after being killed by a PVP interaction, the distance to the respawn point increases (this should prevent endlessly harassing someone)
- Applying this to normal players could alleviate the griefer problem, whoever there is potential for abuse
How does it work?
1. You go to the faction NPC of a major city
2. You join the PVP faction
3. You see another player, you flag up (alt + c)
A: He is a member of the PVP faction
- You can kill him without any penalties
B: He is a regular player
- You can kill him but you will loose karma
4. If you don't want to be a member anymore, go back to a faction NPC and leave
Optional:
- A faction leaderboard
- Weekly Quests for killing faction members
- Open World PVP Events
This should be relatively easy to add to the game and would make PVP enjoyers a lot happier without interfering with the PVEers.

- Both Guilds must agree for a war
- Karma becomes family wide
- Marni Realm every other hour → further decreasing player interaction
- 5 Minutes Server swap cooldown (good)

Yous get a marni realm yous have full protection, pa should just split the client one with traditional rules an one full pve rules. Problem solved.

Its still a game and I believe if you take risks you should be rewarded. Im not talking about massive buffs but some incentive

Thats a good point. I think a possible solution would be to apply this to normal players as well:
- Increase respawn time or distance when killed by PvP
- Disable Elion Tear/Blessing resurrection when killed by PvP if flagged
While keeping the karma system and penalties. This would make it so griefers cant just come back every time they die. But its a difficult problem and this solution is not flawless
- Let people flag up and unflag only in cities
I don't like how this sounds. If someone comes to a person's area in Underground Gyfin to grief and starts hitting the mobs out of order, they need to go all the way to Grana just to turn their flag on? Then if they want to turn their flag off, they need to go back to the city again?
- People who flag up can be killed without penalty by other flagged up people, there could even be a reward for killing someone

You would still be able to kill not flagged players but with penalties enabled.

Flagged players can kill each other without penalty. For everything else penalties apply.
