Correct, at least the last 2 posters figured it out. For context, korean games are from a culture where Internet cafes are common and trying to keep the paying customer playing as long as possible means direct gains from both cafes owners and game companies.

Sell longer time slots in their internet cafas, and to manipulate # so they can brag about players logging into the game for X time on a daily bases. So really the reason is for PA to shit out more money, not to make the game player friendly.

Basically it goes like this with PA if you wonder why an idiotic game design choice was choosen over the thousands of better design chooses it simply just boils down to PA making more money. It literally that simple, when comes to BDO's game design it not driven by making the game enjoyable, it driven an revolves around the idea of making as much money as possible with the least amount of effort.

I refuse to believe that pearl abyss would implement time gated content just too generate money by us waiting for cool downs. So far pearl abyss has always made sure that we can play the game without having to spend any money.
