The game is run by the company, but the company isn't run out of ONLY the players money... Maybe you should think a little bit better before posting something of this nature.

The devs of this game love to use randomness all over the place, and enhancement is one of the most obvious places. You can see the odds, and they're garbage. No matter how you obtain your enhancement materials or whether you use crons, you're still having to fight that randomness. It could go in your favor, or it could go quite badly. And just because you happen to see someone get lucky doesn't mean that that's the norm. They give you the probabilities, so you can see that mathematically it cannot be the norm unless they're lying about the odds, and they really don't need to lie about the odds, because the odds they show are terrible, and we can all see that they're terrible when we try to enhance. And all that paying real money to get your hands on enhancement materials or crons does is give you more chances to gamble on those odds, and if anything, spending real money on it just makes it actual gambling. The laws of probability show that stastically, some people will get lucky whether they pay real money or not, and most of us won't. You only win at enhancing by doing it a lot and learning to manage the risk. Don't throw money at it if you're not willing to lose it, just like you shouldn't throw money at a roulette wheel unless you're willing to lose it.

Honestly, plenty of players hate the fact that it's possible to buy stuff with real money that helps you enhance, because they view it as p2w. Making it so that you get any kind of guarantee out of it would just make it that much worse. Also, the devs wouldn't want that regardless of how they feel about p2w, because they want it to be terrible to get high end gear, because if it isn't, they have to deal with the problem of a bunch of players maxing out their gear and having no way to progress, whereas if they just make it really painful to max it all out, then players constantly have something to work towards (though obviously, plenty of players are frustrated with those difficulties).

BTW, they really should fix the forums so that you can remove likes. I accidentally liked the first post, and I can't remove it. I don't agree with the OP at all - and this comes from someone who spends way too much money on this game (just not on stuff for enhancing).

What OP is doing is blaming others for their bad decisions. If you want guaranteed progression boosted by real cash, the correct procedure is selling pearl items on the market for silver then buying upgraded gear with the silver. This said, despite being guaranteed, this method is heavily gated by time, your family fame score and rather high silver prices for hardcap gear.

It's the nature of gambling, my friend.  Think Las Vegas casinos. 

You can sit at a machine all day, spend hundreds - even thousands - of dollars and many hours, and still come out in the negative.

While some drunk chump, who casually walks by a machine, pulls out a crumpled $1 bill from his pocket, pulls the lever and wins the jackpot. v(-_-)v

Man, I've spent thousands on this game, and have yet been unsatified with any of my purchases... mainly because, I researched what I bought, and knew exactly what my consequences were for buying anything that I bought. I'm an adult, I made those decisions, I live with them, and all I had to do to avoid certain transactions I didn't agree with, was simply not buy it.
