Bad luck protection for other Treasures

Okay, so firstly, I understand people have put in extreme amounts of hours for their potion, and I commend those people for that! Well done!

I am currently at 540 hours, at Kagtums, not even counting the other spots, nothing. This being said, I think the new processes that have been brought in for new treasures, like the Outfit above and the Dead God Armour, are far superior to that of this old system if you get the piece sorted, but if you are extremely unlucky, you will eventually get it with a form of bad luck protection, with an item that drops more often like 2 per hour, which will stop you from getting to these extreme amounts of hours with nothing.

It is rather frustrating when you know people who have farmed for a few hours and gotten the entire piece, and it is extremely frustrating that I am stuck in a spot which is far far below what I should be grinding, this is a spot that should be for lower geared players to grind and progress through, and the amount of griefers, who are either well-geared players or low geared players who will happily take off their gear to karma bomb you, has become absurd, they will even come into your spot after you have been there for 30 minutes, and just start taking half your rotation, in various spots all over Kagtums, when you offer a duel they will not respond and ignore you.

I was farming Turo's the other day, and after a few hours I had not gotten lucky with the flame, but I had a few percent of progress towards the flame, and I felt how much better a system this is! It does not detract from the spot, as it offers seemingly decent money per hour and much more in line with a spot to go with a friend, change things up, and has some risk and reward for good play and playing in your GS range. This system is just so much better than the previously mentioned method.

If we had this system also, it would make these spots more for the people they are meant for again, and make it more of a place for higher geared players to farm, and move on quicker. I would also like to see these systems in place for stuff like the map and compass. Perhaps, talking to someone on the node, which indicates you are farming for treasure, will allow you to obtain the treasure building drops rather than normal rare drops from that area, so there is a loss made for your progress if you are looking to get this specific item, rather than making money.

Hopefully, this is something obtainable, even an average of 1 drop per hour would be nice for these items.

I cannot +1 your post because I dont think the format of the Flame of Despair should match the other pieces of rare treasures. 

 

However, I would like to see a confirmation quest to find the said piece of potion. As someone who has spent many hours grinding in every potential potion treasure area, I feel like its diabled for me and I need to do some kind a pre-req to make it a dropped item. 

 

IF we had a mission of sorts to tell us "HEY you can go to this place and get the drop now!" this would be nice.

Agreed. I suggested on Kakao forums already the potions could be made into Adventure Logs, so that you could get one potion per family guaranteed. Wouldn't break the game and would probably cause less people to ragequit.

I just think this mechanic, is so much more satisfying than the endless, relentless grinding without good RNG, which if you have been as unlucky like me, makes the potion piece no longer a fun mechanic and a depressing one, I will no longer be happy when I get my potion piece, it will just be great now for another 600-hour grind at the next spot.

100% support your suggestion, there should be a failsafe for both infinite potions. But not for the compass and map.

Definitely, and I think this is something totally obtainable. 

I would like to see a system for all treasures, but I understand your point, these are less on the priority list, but I do think they too should have this added.
