Wrath may occur when you force players into situations they don't want to be in. This includes forced grouping, PVP, or other types of forced content. This is a very important topic for developers to undertsand what it means, and how a customer base will react to it.
BDO should be weary to never "force" activities upon players. Not everyone wants to raid/party/or PVP. This video does an excellent job explaining the situation along with the ramifcations.
Are you then saying that they do it now or they shouldn't add pvp and group content?? Not sure I understand your reason for this topic.

Probably trying to pedal the PvE Only Server agenda to change BDO from an all-inclusive Open World PvPvE MMO to an instanced, solo-hub-based-MMO like Diablo (is Diablo even an MMO?) where the game needs to protect players from others instead of players protecting themselves, or finding their own ways to avoid conflict.

Yeah, Just wanted to hear it from himself, because it just seem a bit odd this post.
Wrath is good. It's not negative.
Social interactions without the slightest conflict / moment can be perceived negatively is not social.
This is not how the real social works. A real good mmorpg should be a mirror of humanity, freedom to help and harm.
Not a utopia / dystopia of eternal pleasure and fun devoid of emotion. in an mmorpg the multiplayer is not an optional setting.
Don't play a mmorpg when your goal is to literally avoid people. There is zero consistency. It's complete cognitive dissonance.
You are complaining about something that you inflict on yourself. You stab your leg when you just said you don't want to be hurt. You order food and you complain
that the delivery person comes to deliver your order...
I could continue the analogy for 50 years, so easy is it to understand your enormous cognitive bias.
Normally It is clear enough.

In itself, I agree, wrath can be good. It fuels passion, gives direction, increases determination and other things. When wrath gets out of hand, however, it can be quite destructive to people and those around them. Double edged sword.
But yeah, completely agree. This quote of yours hits home for me: "A real good mmorpg should be a mirror of humanity, freedom to help and harm". Gives me a renewed sense to help people in-game when I can, to not be a jerk, but at the same time, not taking any flack from any one. And I think is a pretty good synopsis on BDO as a whole. PvE only server...instanced grind zones...sorry, but I just SMH when I read these requests.
It's like people don't see the big picture, and only say "Oh me, oh my, there is a big geared bully guy. He takes my mobs, like a slob, and if I get in the way, I get PK'd. Please Pearl Abyss, throw me a bone. Make the game easier for me and let me progress alone."

Wrath is not a good thing. One of the examples in the video is of a Wrathful teacher or someone you may know in your life. It's similar to them being spiteful or vengeful. I do understand there are some aspects of contention between players in a clan war for example, but Wrath is not certainly not a desired effect for the game.
It also applies to things like forced group content. Some players may drudge through it, but they certainly won't want to participate in it.
Are you then saying that they do it now or they shouldn't add pvp and group content?? Not sure I understand your reason for this topic.
The point is how to properly implement those mechanics. There is a huge distinction between forced grouping and optional group content. That line can also get very blurry. In Diablo 3 for example you can do solo content all the way. However, if your competing for ladders or trying to be effecient grouping can completely over power the balance.
If people are able to achieve 300-400M/Hr in BDO using loot scrolls etc it would create a lot of imbalance and negative effects. It would also devalue solo game play. It's always a dangerous line when releasing content. If you think Pearl Abyss will just "handle it properly", just think about how balanced Succ Wizard is in group combat.
As for PVP content Wrath applies as well. Releasing PVP content similar to Shadow Arena is fine. Content is which PVP is expected and part of the game. However, enforcing it upon the entire game world is a mistake. For many of the reasons mentioned in the video.
I was standing in a combat areas recently processing materials. I didn't leave the character there unnateneded. There was a proximity reason for doing this. Another player came up and watched. I thought he was going to PK, and within a minute he did. A free easy kill for him. An AFK character processing. I didn't care much this situation didn't cost me much at all.
However, look at it another way. Was this PVP? Was this competition? Was this an isolated incident? No to all of them.
WHY did this person bother pking? Because they wanted to ruin another persons game experience. The same as killing an AFK horse trainer or life skiller. Not in the spirit of competition. Not in the intended reasoning behind the game.
It's important to understand there are A LOT of people that just want to be harmful to others. To laugh at them. Mock them. Ruin their day. Troll them. This is a large part of the real PVP community in MMO's.
New World developers got a real eye opening experience on this. What they THOUGHT would happend and what ACTUALLY happened where two very different things. It became a slaughter fest of stronger players farming the weaker ones. Not a very good thing to implement in an open world game.
Short reply for now.
Some of my best gaming friends over the years are PvP players, that also have been the most loayal friends to me and kept there words. Just saying, that there is a huge different in the PvP community.
I agree, there are a lot of players who just want to ruin every other players game experience, I just don't think is something that can be fixed in BDO without them remove PvP or make a seperate PvE channels or find a way to make PvP a system where you flag before you can fight another player.
I just don't believe a single forum post, would change it in the long run.

People played on Dark Tide, Asheron's Call PVP server for years. Many enjoyed it immensely and I'm sure have fond memories of the game, the PVP, and it's community. However, the distinction is those players wanted to participate under those games rules and had the choice to do.
Some Dark Tide players also played BOTH servers as you could not swap between.
